How would YOU improve Destiny?
As the title says. If you were given free reign over Destiny and could make any sort of changes, what would they be?
Mine are pretty straightforward. I would have enemies drop crafting items (relic iron filament etc), as well as reward those types of items from bounties and patrol missions. I would also ensure that every weekly update catered to BOTH of my demographics PvE and PvP. Focusing on one side or the other is just stupid. Bosses would drop rewards, even if most of them are shitty. I need to see something glowy hit the ground after shooting at Phogoth for a solid half hour.
What about you guys?.
Edit: I would also raise or remove the vanguard marks cap.

How about being able to use my ship for more then just a load up screen? What if there was a Strike mission where you use it to do space fights? Or air raid bombing? And please stop making most of them in the color brown!!! Oh and how about having an old giant abandoned space station?

I like your ideas I would also have added at launch: 1. Increase patrol fireteam limit to 6. 2. Two more planets 3. Three Additional raids 4. Eight additional strikes with voting options between strikes. 5. Strike mode for 28s in vanguard mode (not weekly) 6. Quick swap gear. 7. Quick access to ammo synthesizers 8. ReBalanced rewards and how they are given for all the modes to provide users with motivation. 9. More modifiers in nightfall and other challenging modes like no revives until checkpoints. Or a modifier where all mobs get a random element shield. 10. More ships with more colors other than brown. 11. More sparrows and variances. 12. Limited timed Trading. fireteam restricted. And then continue to build on this with DLCs -pve player

Edited by D2 is cancer: 10/27/2014 6:22:27 AMI would build 30+ strikes (all there is to do is to reuse already built areas in Patrol and populate em with enemies and put a boss at the end, how fking hard is that, Bungie? f*ck!!!! its annoying me that this game was launched with 6 when its so damn easy to make those), add a level 28 AND 30 strike playlist, add Hard Mode for patrol (ALL ENEMIES are level 26-31), create a pvp map that supports 12v12 and add a brand new sado-maso mode for VoG. Nightfall for VoG with brand new exotics that can only drop from this mode. Gives plenty of shit to do for anyone who gives a flying f*ck about Destiny two months after release. What you will get from Bungiectivision is 2 strikes, 1 raid and five 15m """"""""""story"""""""""" missions, enjoy........

1 ReplyI'd be happy with more customization. Maybe implement materials that can increase the light of your favorite armor. Some of the raid gear pieces are not fashion friendly and I've always felt it unfair that I have to wear them to be 30. Instead it would be nice to keep the armor I like most and increase the amount of light with a cap of 30 of course per armor piece. Maybe even the motes of light could be it. Next. This part is critical. Real dances... Not those drunk turkey abominating mating dances. I mean real get down, get funky bust a move to the groove and beat dances. I want to impress the lady guardians with my moves, and hope they aren't really guys.

I would have Xur sell only exotic engrams for 25-30 strange coin, I would remove exotics from crucible as a reward, i would have open world pvp (i.e. pvp on patrol), I would have lvl 26 /28 strike playlist. I would include trading. thats pretty much it so far

Fire the Dev team and put together my own. Actually listen to people's reasonable complaints about the game and fix the real issues such as glitches and the loot system.

I doubt it could be done now. The whole code would have to be scrapped and rebuilt from the ground up. Bungie is just going to have to milk the DLC and let Destiny die quietly.

I have no illusions that I am a game designer, I am confident that bungie is busting its ass to fix the problems at hand. I love destiny, but don't honestly know what it would take to fix it. But that doesn't mean I have some solid ideas about improvements. I agree wholeheartedly about your drop theory of craft materials as well as boss drops. I think the game also needs to share the materials across all your characters in the same way glimmer works. make them profile based like the glimmer. Its silly to just have to drop it in the vault and load up different players to use it. I think the same could be stated for the vanguard/crucible ranks. Including shared marks +removed cap on marks. I see literally no reason why that should be.
