Bungie still blind.

"Balance is not about everyone being equal, but rather that not everybody is doing the exact same thing. If everyone is doing the same exact thing, something is not balanced. Everybody is trying to pursue the same unbalanced thing." This quote was pulled out of the latest News post update and isn't quite out of context either. It focuses on PvP and people's weapon choices, stating that imbalance isn't a case of something being one sided as such but everyone doing the same thing and using the same builds. More on that, PvE and PvP, everyone is doing the exact same thing. The same strikes, the same missions, the same re-hashed parts of the game, grinding the same enemies and playing the very limited content over and over again. Where is the rest of the game? Where is the exploration? Where is the customisation? Where is the blooming social hub that is Tower? I know there are a lot of you out there that blindly defend the game and Bungie themselves - fanboys. YOU are the ones that need to stop playing the game. Many of us paid for a game we were expecting and now it's here (and over a month after release) it's still the beta... With a couple of extra planets and 12 more character levels which don't even add much to the game. Most expensive game I have ever bought and I 'completed' it in less than a week... (In before l2p noob, complete raid before whining etc etc)

  • This game has been in development in some form since ODST and was delayed multiple times. And this is what we got. The hell was Bungie doing for all those years.

    • I can understand where you come from when talking about being deceived and misled by Bungie about Destiny. I was truly hoping against hope that I was going to dive into one of the greatest games ever created with hundreds of hours of extra curricula activity upon a massive story to boot. That was MY expectations. What we got was more grounded in reality. Sure, it may be far from the E3 footage we were shown but that doesn't surprise me. It was a script directed at fans for the sheer hype that they knew they could create. And on their end, mission accomplished. $500 million is a lot of money but that doesn't all go directly into the game. Marketing campaigns, salaries of a large studio, server maintenance, continued work on a released product...all this adds up. I play games, a lot of them. Some like the GTA series have tons of story and content. Some, like most FPS, don't. Destiny falls somewhere in between. I look forward to more content being released.

      • Why should the people who defend the game (and with some pretty good points, for the most part, I might add) be the ones to stop playing it if they're the ones actually enjoying it, unlike you? That makes no sense whatsoever.

        • I agree. It's addictive to play but that's really all that can be said. I was sorely disappointed with how little content was actually in the game. Its definitely not what they were describing. While I understand they are supposed to release more over the next ten years, it does not excuse what we were given now. This game will not last very long if they don't make vast improvements now i.e. more content, stop nerfing PVE side of game, etc. Where's all the content that we're supposed to have so we won't get bored and there's always something new to discover? PVP is fine for those who play it but it should not be the focus of this game and that seems to be all that Bungie cares about. They really need to start listening to the PVE side. That's really the side that will sustain the game over ten years. I'm stuck with the expansion pass. If they don't release a good amount of content with it, it's the last one I'll buy. Might as well wait ten years to see if there's really a full game and it'll probably be cheaper!

          • I really want to know Bungies thoughts on all of this. A response as to why a year before release more than half of the game was cut and their first E3 teaser trailer consistently contradicts the game we play today.

          • I agree with some of your points. I think we all want more customization and more exploration. If we were all level 30, wouldn't we all look the same, pretty much? I know there can't be that many varieties of Raid armor to truly makes us feel unique. Also, I would love to be able to explore areas that I see on the planets where the invisible wall forces us to retreat or we die. My expectations for the game are completely open world. That's just me. I know we won't get that, but that's what hopefully Destiny 2, 3 or 4 will bring us. That, and equal content for PlayStation and Xbox owners. I own PS4 and I don't believe that Bungie or Activision should exclude Xbox owners from content for roughly a year. Just because Bungie doesn't care for Microsoft is no reason to punish the players.

          • Game begins at level 20. Finished thin story Rerun, Rerun and rerun missions < rinse and repeat Raids, Strike, and weekly < one time weekly rewards, others repeat crap rewards with the hassle of scheduling Fire team.
