Adding diversity and incentives

I completely/mostly agree with these suggestions!

I have mixed feelings about this...

Let's make this quick... we all know that Destiny, while fun, is not living up to the hype and we know that it needs some changes implemented (soon) to maintain its playerbase; Bungie, we're all watching you. Here are some of my ideas that I think would add that extra kick that most of us feel is missing. 1. Weapons and Armor Exotics need an overhaul. Currently, most of the exotic armors are well balanced and the perks feature unique utilities that are not game-breaking. However, this is not the case for our guns. Many of the exotic weapons are weaker than their legendary counterparts and many of their perks are less preferable than some of the more basic modifiers that effect things like maximum range and stability. The opposite is also true of course, and some of the exotic weapons (even a few legendaries) have a distinct edge over others in PvP and PvE. The Suros Regime (which I have and love) and Red Death come to mind. We need more Exotics. Each class currently has a total of six exotic armor pieces, and about half of them do not appeal to most players (we'll just call that diversity though and go on our way). Now that xur comes every weekend and we're a little over a month's worth of the game's existence, we are beginning to see everyone using the same exotics as everyone else, and they don't feel very "exotic" anymore. I personally believe that there should be at least twice as many exotics for each class, but maybe that's just me. I believe that it would be VERY cool to see Bungie begin to release a new exotic every week. 1 new weapon or class armor per week is not that much to ask from so large a company, but I'd even be content to see a new exotic released once a month. I think doing this would allow for more player diversity and, overtime, there would be so many exotics that they would begin to feel truly unique to your own guardian. As a side note, they could even begin creating exotics that were unique to events and they could retire old exotics from the droplist. I know there was nothing cooler than riding a mount that nobody could ever get again back in my WoW days, and the possibility of one day sporting a helmet/weapon/sparrow of the same uniqueness would personally drive me to be very active in the game. Shaders are nice, but lets see some more customization. I love that I can wear my purple and gold with the proud knowledge of having completed all that the (incredibly dull and tedious) Queen's Wrath Event had to offer, but a shader that few members have just doesn't feel like it sets me apart too much. As another user suggested, I believe that we need the option of adding unique perks to our armor and weapons that alter either the appearance or function of the piece. I will go over how I think this ought to be implemented in a later section, but for now I'll just say that most unique perks/shaders/alternate-appeances ought to be tied to achievements and special events. In short, if I have a new chest piece, and I just don't feel like I look that intimidating in it, I ought to be able to attach an item to it (some ideas are spikes, a clan emblem, some armor polish that makes it really shine, or perhaps even some bullet holes). Guns could have some of the same features applied to them, but customization of the sound of firing the gun, visual aura created around a victims corpse, or even something like changing the color of a bullets trail would be nice to see. 2. Achievements We need achievements (or grimoire cards) to provide more bonuses and the occasional unique item. Literally anything could fall under this category, but the point of this addition would be to simply incentivize the completion of unique and difficult tasks. Bungie already does this in a roundabout way with their, "Bungie Bounties," but we have to report those victories on the forums to be rewarded and getting lucky enough to find that team is like finding a needle in a haystack the size of Massachusetts! I want to be rewarded for level capping every subclass in the game with a new shader, a unique weapon, a higher chance for legendary engrams to drop or even (by far the coolest idea) a unique, non-class-specific subclass. This concept should apply to things such as being a member of the first group to complete a new raid or strike, capturing your first 500 bases in control, hitting rank three for each faction, and so on. I have more ideas, but I feel like this is enough for now, so I'll edit this later. In the meantime, what do you all think, what did you like, what did you hate, and what would you like to add?
