For those having an issue with the update saying the game is not installed. (I have used these steps countless times to install, update, and play the game successfully on several computers)
1. Install/Download Halo Combat Evolved ( i have an ZIP archive of the game I obtained from the internet.)
2. Download Halo Custom Edition from this link (http://hce.halomaps.org/?fid=410)
3. Install the halocesetup_en_1.00.exe (when asked for a serial provide the one you have from your original case/or find a keygen on Google)
4. Eat a sammich
5. Download and install the Halo Custom Edition Patch V1.0.10
6. Enjoy Halo CE
Look for me on various servers online. IGN = KevinBacon
