So I've been using a shotgun with my Warlock in PvP since I first entered the Crucible. I always thought that anyone who complained about shotguns were just whining because they got killed and shotguns are extremely popular in the Crucible. However I just got my Hunter up to 26 and decided to test him out in the Crucible. So I equipped him with Atheon's Epilogue(Auto Rifle) and Epitaph 2261(Sniper Rifle) because I wanted to try something new, rather than rolling with my Proxima Centauri II Scout Rifle and Invective Shotgun. By the second match I felt your pain. I did decent (1.36 average). The range some of the shotguns have is absurd. They can one shot you from mid range. My Invective has poor range so I've never noticed it before but now I can see how people hate them.
