Throwing Knife versus the Vex
Hello dear Bungie Devs,
First off, great game, I've sunk many hours into it and will doubtless sink many more.
One particular issue that I'd like to report is that it seems one cannot get 'precision' throwing knife kills versus the Vex. Yes, I know their weak spot is the shiny bit on the abdomen. I've fired many knives straight into that spot but Knife Juggler has never registered it as a precision kill and reset the cooldown. Minotaurs have no weak spot, I understand that, but I've noticed this behavior versus Goblins, Hobgoblins, and Harpies. Don't know about Hydras.
Thus concludes my grievance.

There is also an issue with bad juju and the vex. Killing harpies doesn't count as a kill for its instant reload, so I feel you on the knife problem.

5 RepliesThere's a bug with the harpy. Killing it doesn't activate any skills. As for actually killing a Goblin with the throwing knife ? I only hit it's weak spot once and killed it, unfortunately I didn't notice if the cooldown reset. I'll have to check..

Because the knife arcs you're most likely hitting the chest which protrudes further out than the abdomen. I've managed to get crits with my knife many times. it's even possible to get crits with melee.

I've gotten a crit on goblins only once before although most of my knife throws were pretty on point and I should have gotten more than one so idk about this then again I've not played my hunter very extensively compared to my titan. Anyone else have problem with the titan melee just swinging at air? I have this a lot versus harpies and occasionally on all other mobs. Tis very annoying when I'm trying to get force barrier to let my health regen

1 ReplyI've noticed the same thing. Head shots sometimes seem to trigger even when I didn't really seem to hit anybody's head, but the vex seem immune to throwing knife precision damage.
