Destiny. Multi-platform character Crossover. Would you support it?

Yes. It is a great way to keep all moving forward.

No. It is a nonessential function.

You bought your Xbox/PS console grave, lie in it.

First things first. I'm not talking about cross-platform Xbox to Playstation gaming (which would still be cool). This topic is solely to poll and discuss reasons for Bungie to support carrying over of your Destiny character not only from within a console family as the current system is set up, (i.e. PS3 to PS4) but across ALL supported Destiny platforms. Here's my scenario (‘cause it's is mine): I'm an avid Xbox 360 player, have been since the price-point of the original PS3 tipped me away from Sony and over to MS (much as I wanted to be able to keep playing my PS2 games onward). Part of the reason I remain invested in the Xbox is my intangible yet important-to-no-one-but-myself GamerScore. However, the majority of the people I know in real life that play games are on Playstation. I would totally leave it all behind to play with my friends. HOWEVER, I’m not there yet. Huge backlog of Xbox 360 games, finances, yada, yada, I’m not ready to make the switch to any next-gen console. So, I eagerly preordered and have been playing Destiny on my trusty Xbox 360. SO, here’s the crux of my new world blues. I am into Destiny. I bought the hype, and I’m really into it. The 10-year story arc concept has me intrigued. However, I am NOT into being “forced” into the Xbox One just to continue the journey (because let’s face it, last-gen gaming is not going to be supported for another decade). I want freedom (to do more than just NOT upgrade)! All the early hype of Bungie allowing carryover of characters created on one generation and being available for use on another carried this question along with the news: Will the gaming developer allow this across multiple platforms, or only among those consoles of the same family? NOW, what are your thoughts? I’m all for it, because of said scenario. I think it would greatly increase Bungie’s goal of making Destiny accessible for everyone, and successful ("we want to be Avatar, not Waterworld"), as well as not “lock people in” who are still on their 7th-generation systems, as said by lead at Bungie, Tyson Green (see article). What are the limitations? Essentially, your character is a collection of stats and appearance. Is infeasible for Bungie to support linking of all platforms to a bungie.net account for more than just forums?
