Fellow Titans! I Require Thy Assistance.
For a Titan Defender in PVE what buff do you use for your ward of dawn and why.
Armor of Light - Allies gain significant damage resistance
Blessing of Light - Passing through the ward of dawn gives a temporary shield
Weapons of light - passing through the wars of dawn gives temporary increase to weapon damage.

Weapons to provide better team experience and blessing for solo situations

PVP- Armor of Light. Taunt them into entering your bubble... and wreck them, PVE- Depends on the situation. If there is a moment where survival is more important than damage (say, a Nightfall) then Blessing is the way to go. However, if you can afford some kills in your team, Weapons of Light basically improves your gun damage by 20%-25%. In my case, when I go defender with my mates, I will use Blessing for Nightfalls, but in Raids and Strikes I enable Weapons. My Hunter freidn told me that, with blessing, he was getting the biggest crits he had ever seen agains Atheon.

Its situational but lean towards blessing especially if you do solo alot...i have a weird schedule so I game early morning so I'm usually solo and I can do most nightfalls alone thanks to that. But in pvp armor of light is king in control nuff said.

I typically use Armour of Light as a general use, but it really depends on the situation.

Blessing of light is by far the best, most people don't use it enough to realize just how useful it is.

Always ask a fellow titan what he is running on his ward of dawn if possible have one of each type

depends on the situation that you're in.

If im doing a raid or some PvE team-based activity, I usually stick with weapons of light mostly because it's very beneficial for your teammates, aside from the fact that you just put a -blam!-in ing semi-impenetrable wall on the battlefield. However, if you are playing with another defender who has WoL, go for Blessing of light. Win-Win situation

There's a lot of people voting for Weapons of Light, but really Blessing works out a lot better. With Weapons of Light you have the chance of getting hurt still, eating up your shields gradually untill you are surcumbed to the buuble to heal. With Blessing Of Light you pop out fire for a much longer period of time than with Weapons of Light, come back in and your overshields are already recovered and are able to continue to do so doing more damage overtime. And in most situations that what you want since mobs are easy to take down. Weapons comes in handy during boss fights more so however, but I just stick to Blessing as keeping in the fight is more import to me than trying to do it the fastest possible.

I like when my friend pops his blessing of light bubble, being a striker titan and being able to be even more aggresive and not dieing is always a plus!

Depends, really. If you're doing strikes/raids, defender with weapons of light. Always. Patrol/story/any other pve modes, just run Striker.

damn! armor of light is very underrated. you guys do realise that you are how much you get right? Like in the crotas end raid those knight are annoying but with aol you will shit on them

1 ReplyI use both blessing and weapons depending on the situation. If survivability for the team is more important i will use blessing. If survivability isn't much of an issue i will use weapons with illuminated.

If you are doing a raid then weapons of light, absolutely no question.

Armor is good for pvp. Survive blade dancer etc
