All in all, I would love to see something like this integrated. As previously mentioned, it's a bit like the "facebook event" system except it's on bnet with a few changes. It would most definitely help improve group activity and awareness of what's going on. Also, you don't have to wait to be the lucky few that happen to see the community sign up thread on the front page. Just make it a habit to check the "community calendar" or whatever it's called, and see what's happening with your groups. To add onto this idea, I think that Bungie employees should be able to post global community carnage's within the calendar. This way, if DeeJ was to do a Ride Along event, you don't have to be in a specific group to see it. Since a Bungie Employee posted it, they can have the option of showing it viewable for ALL bungie.net members. Just a couple little other suggestions: -Obviously for individual groups it would be put into the user security controls as you mentioned. -You should be required to link your gamertag to a Bungie.net account in order to sign up for an event. -Possibly a "post game carnage stats" link to events that occurred. That way if people can't actually attend the event, they can at least check out what happened and how their friends competed. -This should also be used for Group V Group carnage's. Whether it be on Halo, Marathon, Battlefield, MW3, Gears of War or whatever. I think it would be neat to see group carnage's come back and people can see who is the top dog for private group event. Obviously, we're all brainstorming this idea right now, but definitely a great suggestion.
