Bee - The story of an eternal struggle

So after endless commenting on other people's threads and making one myself that disappeared in the flood of posts I thought it's time for another one dedicated to my problem. I haven't had a very pleasant start with the new console generation. After hearing about Destiny and some rumors that it'll com in a nice bundle with a white PS4, I was certain that I would wait a little while before laying hands on the new generation...And so I did. After playing the beta of Destiny on my PS3 I coul've never imagined that I would've to deal with an issue I thought wasn't even a deal anymore after a game this big launches. Of course I got disconnected in the beta...twice...twice in the countless hours I spent playing this game in july (I guess it was), but that was acceptable for an online game. And then finally - September 9...packed out my new PS4, plugged it in, set it up, put the disc in...I felt like a ten year old again. All stress was gone...I just wanted to play the game I was craving for, and now it was time! Installation and everything went smooth and after a couple minutes I was finally able to create my character and enter the game. I played for a while and experienced my first disconnect. That'S okay, it's launch day after all... But guess what...That day was over a week ago. After that day I did a lot of things to fix those errors: I forwarded the ports Bungie recommended, completely reconfigured my router settings (Which never caused me any problems in online games), and turned off every single device connected to my network, but still...Bee! I can't play strikes, I get kicked out of almost every crucible match...But I managed to complete the story without destroying my controller in anger. Guys I'm connected via Wi-fi, 0% packet loss, average of 80% signal strength...I really think this isn't a problem on my side. I haven't got a 10m cable to connect my PS4 via LAN... I just want to play the game...why can't anyone fix this?! I mean I'm searching for a fix or at least a message from Bungie on these forums...all I get is "have you tried forwarding the ports? Did you disconnect all other devices from your network? Yeah?! But guess what your internet still sucks and we don't give a shit because you're a minority and the rest can enjoy the game so go to hell!" It's an online only game...I understand that disconnections can occur sometimes...but it shouldn't be every 10 minutes, especially if something like a strike mission takes way more than that to complete. We've waited long enough. I know I'm not the only one here -- I constantly reading through the threads...everyday. So at least give us some kind of statement and don't treat us like someone who expects you to build an entirely new game. We paid money, we want to play, we want to hear from you, and you seem to ignore us. Please give these issues the attention they need Bungie! Sorry for this wall of text but I just had to let it out.

    We are aware there are some players that are not having a quality experience getting or staying connected to Destiny, even after following the troubleshooting steps. We will be updating the CATTLE/CATERPILLAR, CENTIPEDE, BEE/FLY/LION and BEAVER/FLATWORM/LEOPARD help articles with updates as we investigate.       So we have links and suggestions that range from changing your internet cables, buying a new router, not using WiFi at all, making sure the game is the only thing online on your network, to various router configurations. I will try and make the point again . . . Why the HELL should I HAVE to? If I had the disposable income/time to sue over this I would just on principle alone. I do not recall reading these 'system requirements' anywhere on the game case. In fact, if you read the fine print on the back of the case for PS3, it specifically states that "Online play and download requires broadband internet service.". That's it. That's all. Nothing about NAT types. Nothing about network configurations. Nothing about ensuring its the only thing going on on your household network when you play. Nadda. It's unacceptable given the amount of resources/profits at Bungie's disposal. This issue should be resolved with a patch or at least something on their end. If it cant be, I have been sold a broken game under false advertising. Period. Well . . . TWO broken games as I thought like an idiot believing I could play online with my son at the same time.

This includes packet loss or disconnections between your home network and Bungie[/i]" Now bungie, you use UDP, please go and have a look at the definition of UDP packets and you may be shocked to learn that delivery and/or order of packets is [b]NOT[/b] guaranteed. So given this [b]WHY THE F*CK[/b] did you even decide to design a game using this protocol with an unachievable objective??? Go back to blaming gamers for changing their network setup ... it is far less embarrassing.

      • I've had the same issue. Though mine got a little better before this holiday cluster****. I was actually able to complete a few crucible games, though at least once a match it would lag and leave me dead for a solid sixty seconds before respawn. What bothered me the most is that when I got brave enough and had time to try the vault of glass with five other guardians was the time I had the most bee errors ever.

      • I have had the same issue since day 1, I though it was a poor download/upload speed because i have that but apparently not because many fibre connection users have the same issue, it's been suggested that it's an ISP issue dropping packets or certain ISP's not supporting the game properly I'm sure it will be resolved sooner rather than later your not on your own my friend there are many others including myself who get the Noah's ark (mainly bee codes) - I was wireless too I purchased a powerline adaptor and it's made a small improvement to my connection also purchasing a new modem/router according to many people have completely resolved their connection issues and error codes I hope you get this sorted.

      • Still Bee errors regularly for me. Although over the last 2 days I have actually completed a couple of rounds of Crucible 6v6! Sad that actually getting to complete a round of PvP is worth posting about!

      • Does anyone else get disconnected the most during respawn in the crucible? I have to hold my breath every time i die and hope the hell a swarm of -blam!-ing bees dosnt interupt my game. Im lucky to complete 1 out of every 7-10 games..

        • A great game ruined by cr#p servers. Stop nerfing my auto-rifle by 2% and concentrate on the basics. 6 weeks in and disconnect errors every 4 or 5 minutes is unacceptable.

          • I live at two houses due to parents splitting up and at one house my connection is fine I can play straight for several hours no error or dc's yet when I go to the other house every 5 minutes (10 if I'm lucky) I get disconnected with the error of some animal or term. I don't understand it and the weird part is the house I get dc'd more at has a waaay better internet connection. Sigh.

          • I'm getting bee errors worse than ever now so frustrating. I'm on xbox one gamertag same as above The recent update made ever worse for me it only happens when I'm in a raid and every now and again in world but it haplens every 2mins in raid

          • I haven't had any problems until they did the maintenance. I think I have gotten every error code. I know its not my network. Every game works fine but Destiny.

          • What annoys me most with the BEE Error is that bungie's official response is "Its your network that's the problem." However I have no issues with any other game or app on Xbox or PC, in fact I have no issues with the rest of destiny just the Crucible. Therefore it must be a problem at their end I just wish they would acknowledge this! (NAT is cone and Open, ports have been forwarded. Then I dumped Xbox in my routers DMZ to see if that would fix it... Nope!)

            • 30 days from the time of purchase and still getting kicked out of Crucible. Bungie get you act together. How lame is it to only be able to play 50% of a game that you paid full price for?

              • Im sick of being kicked and dsiconnected to. They should have been more prepared for this crap. First off I love the gamr but it feels too small and limiting, I want more worlds to discover, but instead I get a few places and anf ton of errors and disconnections. Idk what Bungie was thinking launching such a flawed game. My hopes are getting crushed daily because of these errors they just cant seem to fix.

              • and the Story continues... i still get the bee and i think / feel it appears now more often then before [the patch]. Come on :( I am not able to fully enjoy the game! But i paid the FULL Price so i want to Play it witht he FULL experience. I've done Everything i could do (opened the ports, switchted NAT type, etc. pp.)

                  Bungie needs to get its act together. I can't get rep with new monarchy because of this BS! BEE BEE BEE BEE BEE BEE BEE BEE BEE BEE BEE BEE BEE BEE BEE! Annoying, huh? You should have dedicated all resources to next gen not the old shart consoles! Make it so that the next update allows you to boost rep in regular missions.

                • I've gone 2 weeks and not being able to fully play one match in crucible. Can you imagine how frustrating that is trying to finish the Bad Juju bounty?? Bee errors. Every. Single. Damn. Time. Also I will occasionally get kicked from tower and patrols. Strikes and story by myself is fine, but completely different story with a fireteam. This is too much. I'm putting the game down till there's a solid fix. Bungie robbed me of my money. Period.

                  • Can anybody tell me the difference between bee and centipede error codes or are they the same thing with different animal names? If Bungie is listening? I'm still getting kicked out of Crucible.
