Very interesting read and ideas. If our enemies are the Travelers enemies then why do they fight each other? That's the only thing that i can see wrong with your theory. Otherwise we would in effect be just like the flood from Halo..a more technical version so to speak..

  • Dont assume just because the enemies share a mutual goal to stop the traveler, that they would work together The army-like Cabal seek to expand their territory, as do the raider-like Fallen, so war is inevitable The Hive seem to be infected humans (like in The Last of Us) but more futuristic, and just want to kill and infect more creatures The Vex want to purge all organics and just have all machines And yes exactly like the Flood. The Floods weakness was it could not infect robots, hence the Sentinels were created However at the end of Halo 3 a new Gravemind infected Cortana. Chief killed it before it spread. What wouldve happpened if he failed? Fade to the shadow of the Traveler in Destiny

  • The hive are not parasitic at all. They are mass converters. They take organic mass from planets and corpses and consume it feeding there odd breeding rituals. They do not infect or zombify the deceased.
