And if the guardians are being "controlled" by the ghosts, why does it even take it's time to light our paths or guide us through OUR journey? I don't think it's feeding off of us.. But I do believe it has transformed our previously darkness enveloped race of humans into beings of light.

It would be a mutualistic relationship. Anyways.. Our guardians aren't the ones that actually built the city. They have been dead for years.
