We never fought gods in the beta we had lvl 8 weapons and gear. I don't understand how you can determine if an entire class of weapons is overpowered based less then half the lvl cap. This is why I'm leaving the forums for good when Destiny launches. You all could end the drought in Cali with all your tears.

Well in the Crucible the level of the weapons didn't particularly matter, just the abillities they had and the general ranges of statistics they possessed. If the data shows that there was a problem at level eight, then it's entirely likely that there's a problem at level 20, having a few really cool abillities tagged onto inconsistant Pulse Rifle / Hand Cannon bases isn't going to change the metagame enough. Bungie will likely balance in passes, it's not about "All Auto Rifles automatically do 10% less damage, PROBLEM SOLVED!", it's about hitting a few of the more notable offenders like the Shingen C or the Cydonia AR3 in specifically targeted changes to open up the metagame a bit.

I don't know who this is aimed at, but Bungie wants players to use other guns and the AR was primarily used in PvP. That's all the reason they needed in order to make a change.

So then buff the rest of the weapons so they are on par with the AR. Reduce the recoil on pulse rifles, increase reload speed and ammo cap of the hand cannon. Why nerf when you can buff.

Edited by xMr Poor: 9/2/2014 12:23:24 AMStupid post. The pacing of the game is deliberate to keep the kill times and character speeds consistent. If they just buff everything then we'll be left with COD where everything kills you instantly.

Much more realistic that way! Real life some one shoots you once, theres a good chance your going to die so why bitch about it in a game?

Uh, no. In 2008 there were approx. 64k firearm related injuries. Of those only 12k resulted in death and just under 4k were self inflicted. So, no, you're more likely to live when shot not die.

Edited by Death Pilot37: 9/2/2014 2:05:49 PMjackwagon, You know damn well what i meant. You have to be that "one" guy that throws out statistics to back your claim.

Not my fault you're one of the morons
