I'm not sure the point of this. I don't plan on "hanging out" in the game, I will be playing it. I see the tower as a tool for getting what is needed for playing the game. I can talk with my friends while I'm playing the game. This idea of logging in and just hanging out and doing nothing seems pointless to me especially since there is so much to do in Destiny. The story, exploring, strikes, or raids. All of it can and will be done while talking and "hanging out" with my friends.
