I agree don't nerf it... but I kinda understand the point of view of those wanting matchmaking. IMO they should leave difficulty as-is but allow matchmaking with multiple warnings before you go in - so you're all gonna have to try HARD to work as a team or you will fail, and among strangers that will be hard - but it's better than being unable to play it at all.

  • He'll no! When game developers start giving in to silly demands that make meaningful content easily accessible without effort made diminishes what they are trying to achieve. No offence to people that are pro matchmaking, but IMO even finding a group/getting together with friends or your clan and taking the raid full on should feel epic! Not just queue up, jump in and fight bosses. It's the hardest content in the game and players should feel a sense of achievement to even be inside the place kicking some ass!

  • I can respect your opinion on wanting match-making but the current structure doesn't make it unable for people to play. Anyone can play if they meet the requirements. It's like how you can't play pvp until you level up to a certain point. The parameters have been set to make the game play experience better instead of making finding players easier and gameplay more frustrating.

I never said I personally wanted matchmaking, but be honest here, what exactly do us serious players lose from having it added. Assuming they don't dumb down the difficulty at all for it. More people who are having trouble getting a group together, can have a chance to play through it. Even if it is not possible for them to beat it due to lack of teamwork or whatever, at least they would get the chance to make the attempt. edit: there is also the part where you have to go out of game to find people to play with since you have to add people to friends where they can potentially access private information just to talk to them at all. Y u no add easily mutable proximity chat bungie.

  • While i could go on and on doing this little dance with you that i don't mind doing but I don't like to be redundant. I could talk about the 4.6+ million people from around the world that will be playing or how people have and can get their information easily stolen without adding someone. I could bring up points about time vs. money and how these seemingly small decisions to add a feature has great impact on players that cares about this topic as well as those that don't, I won't. I will respectfully agree to disagree and politely put this chat to rest. ☺ I do agree with you on the proximity chat problem. Communication with ease is the biggest flaw in the game. Communicating verbally and through text is cumbersome and slow currently. It is also what I would like to made a number one priority with private matches being second.
