I find it funny but in that sad way...
They want to play with only Christians, that's segregation...
Ok so we do something similar but opposite...
Now they threaten us because they feel segregated... Go figure!
It's not that I won't believe in God, I wouldn't want to believe in a benevolent spirit but the whole goal is to cut most of humanity, except for your church friends, and leave them to burn in hell. Yeah, that's real noble...
If you truly had a peaceful benevolent agenda you would realize it's all of us or none of us. We have a perfect place, called Earth, right here. It's only humans that frakk it up ☺️

How would you feel if you went to jail in place of a friend, paid their debt and then they spit on you? We all fall short, we are human after all. Jesus paid the debt for us, all you have to do is admit that you aren't perfect, never will be, and accept the payment he has already provided.

And I have paid a similar debt. When I was young, very young, I decided I wanted to be a leader, a true example to all my fellow brothers and sisters on this Earth. You know what I get for it? Hatred, ignorance, exile.... The farther society drifts from the truth, the more they hate those that speak it... Can't remember if that was Walt Whitman or not, sorry

I have nothing against the way you choose to think, feel, and believe. But I can't submit to a system so obviously founded in human ways and thinking. I'm not saying there isn't a God or some form of higher being, it's the way religion is executed. If you're strong in yourself, and can figure out right from wrong on your own, seriously, why do you need a God as your religion needs. You need a God that is constantly watching out for you and telling you what to do. Everything good or fortunate comes from God's will. I strongly disagree, because I am a living being, God or no God, and I have the power and mind to look out for myself and determine what is right and wrong. Thinking for yourself will allow you to be free of those that benefit, profit and gain power from your belief. It can be twisted, corrupted, and turned against you. Some of the most horrible people I've ever come across, as in rapist, pedophiles, thieves, and tyrannical corporate despots, praise God and go to church. It will never be so cut and dry as you make it as long as your faith can be twisted, as you allow faith to blind your reason because it conflicts with your belief in God. The only sovereign I will allow to rule me is reason... TG

I'm sorry to hear that. Though maybe you should start reading somethings. Christianity isn't based on the reasoning of man, but rather that of God. Pick up a copy of [i]Mere Christianity[/i] by C.S. Lewis. Or [i]Jesus Among Other Gods[/i] by Ravi Zacharias. These are works of Christian Apologetics and very very logical.

I think your confusing religion with morality. I don't need a mythological figure in the sky to tell me what's right or wrong. It's within my heart, my humanity to know that. Parents should guide their children with examples and open minds, not beat them over the head with a book obviously written by a human. It's full of lots of simple stories that give those bereft of hope or direction something they already have but are afraid to take because you can't blame everything on God or feel safe and assured of your place in the Afterlife... Religion is for expression of spirituality, to ponder and contemplate upon our existence and existential place in the universe. Never should it dictate morality, or law. It's no different than a military police state. Religion in power answers to no one, oh except that non corporeal magical all powerful being in the sky that has no balance. He's full of smite and righteous wrath but loves you unconditionally... I'm not saying your faith is misplaced, just misinterpreted...

You could have killed a child and God loves you so much that he is willing to forgive you but only if you repent (feel truly sorry and turn away from that sin) but if you do not he will have to punish you righteously. You are a human you make mistakes you do not know everything, youre morals are not always right, heck my morals arent always right but God is infallible he is always right but he gave you a choice to decide where you go to after life

That's just one of the lures, forgiveness isn't for yourself, it's for those that have been wronged, and there are certain things that just can't be forgiven, like if you murdered an innocent child. Just truly repent and it goes away?? Light! I don't mean this as rudely as it seems, but that's childish... Look, I'd rather not continue down this path because it's starting to feel like I'm trying to change your choice in your beliefs. I don't want people to change, especially not like that, I just want to enlighten. Besides, I'm sure your faith is strong enough, you will continue to believe as you have chosen, and that's just fine 👍
