I really doubt it's going to happen. I would think there would actually be performance issues if such a feature was used. I could be wrong though, but I think your only option is going to be having two consoles. :/

They've confirmed there's no split in Destiny 1. There wouldn't be performance issues with split-screen. I don't understand why people think this. The resource hit of running two real-time cameras would be figured into the scene they are rendering. In other words, its not as simple as slapping another camera in a scene, but if they planned for split screen from the beginning, there is no reason why a next gen system can't run multiple cameras when consoles have been doing it for decades.

Edited by D3thN1gh7: 8/27/2014 9:22:35 PMYea that's true actually. I guess my mind immediately jumped to remembering playing Halo 2 on the 360 and having horrible performance if 4-player split screen was used. But I also remember that it was being emulated so that was why. Well....who knows then in that case. I'm sure they have their reasons though. Perhaps there were problems if two players walked too far away from each other. Sure you could just have one teleport back to the other but maybe they considered that too immersion breaking or something. What if you were playing alone and trying to interact with one co-op player and then *poof* they're gone.

I see in this case though he's talking about only playing the Crucible in split screen. That would have been possible.
