Plus the mysterious exo huntress is a great example if freedom. If she can chose to go lone wolf what stops them from going evil?

But the only thing is that she's not a guardian. "I was not born of light". Also she's not from around here hehe. She's probably part of a resistance in the future outside of the guardians. But if new players were allowed to choose to be a guardian or non-guardian that would be interesting. But then if we only have our powers because we were "born in the light" then...hmm

Well, if you remember the moon mission "Chamber of Night" your guardian fights to retrieve a shard of the Traveler that the Hive had corrupted and used for their own power. If they can manipulate a piece of the traveler itself to support the darkness, I see no reason why your guardian couldn't be swayed to the darkness. Additionally, the Exo Stranger talks about choosing a side, even if it's the wrong one. I don't see why they would have her even talk about an option of a right and wrong choice if your guardian was not able to make their own decisions on what path they take.

They can in the lore, have you happened to find the dead Ghost for Thorn? It explains how a guardian named Yor became corrupted by Darkness.
