Everything is fuzzy before the collapse....screams, gun fire, explosions and the thick scent of death. What happened before or even if he existed before it, is unclear...Just a deep hatred for the darkness burning in his heart. Left alone on a barren planet, he lived day to day...salvaging space ship parts, food, weaponry and ammo. When he finished his makeshift ship, he managed to get the hunk of scrap to the reef where he had heard others sharing the odd memories and the changes caused by the collapse. It was good for a time, a cold drink with friends, someone to share the night with and a sense of ease. His hate seemed to subside, sure it teased at his thoughts but he was content...or so he thought. An earth born awoken came to the reef one day, pleading for help in the war but few came to the call. A sudden compulsion over took him, but why? He was safe, fed, and happy...why would he give it up? He signed onto the venture still mentally debating the choice. The answer of why would come sooner than expected....while on a transport ship headed to the last city the fallen bombarded the ship, the engines began to fail the siren blaring for everyone to brace themselves for a crash landing. Panic filled the cabin of the ship and it finally clicked....the old memories flooding in with an intensity that threatened to make him go mad. The anger pent up inside burst into life. Then all went blank, how he died, what happened to the ship and those on it was just gone. Then from the blackness came a voice. " I know you can hear me, wake up! This world needs your light, WAKE UP!!" And wake he did roaring and punching at an enemy that was no longer there. His vision cleared and focused on a small floating machine. " I've been looking for a long time for you guardian, I'm glad i finally found you. Now quickly the fallen are coming!" He didn't know what this machine was, where it would take him or why it helped him...but he was alive again. He followed the little machine, with many questions floating in his head but the feeling that he was on the right path. that with this life he had found his purpose and he would not waste this new chance at life.
