The Others: My Theory on the Two Other Factions of Destiny

As we've seen in the Beta, there are three factions present in the Last City. New Monarchy, who seem to try and keep general peace. Future War Cult, who believe war with the Darkness is fact, and Dead Orbit, who are looking to flee. Now, there are two other factions either presumably cut from the final game, or somewhere in background of the story. Those two being Osiris and Seven Seraphs, respectively. I believe I might now what their roles might (or would have, depending on whether or not they're to be included) be with the story. WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS BELOW Osiris:
I believe they may be connected to the Ghosts' search for a Guardian for "recruitment". In Ancient Egypt, Osiris (the deity this particular faction is named after) was the god of the afterlife. This would tie in greatly with the fact that Guardian is pretty much dead, and brought back from the dead. An afterlife, if you will. Their logo, depicted as an eye with what looks a glow in the middle, seems to support their mission: find those who can wield the Light against the Darkness.
Seven Seraphs:
I can only presume this particular may be some type of bodyguard for the leaders and extremely close to the royalty of the City, even more so than the New Monarchy. I say that because according the Book of Isaiah (what I can gather from Google searches), the Seraphim (translated from Hebrew as "burning ones") are extremely high-ranking angels that surround the Throne of God. It's possible this faction is composed of high-ranking Guardians whose duties may be more concerned with protection of the higher-ups. The "Seven" in their name, not only being a reference to Bungie's love of the number 7, could also indicate they are very small in number.
Those are my two cents on what these two groups' purposes may be, and... well, hopefully they do make the cut but considering we've heard zilch on them, I doubt it. What are your thoughts?

Before one of the missions, the ghost says that Osiris was a powerful warlock. The cryptarch also rambles randomly about Osiris, if you stand there and listen to him long enough. So, perhaps Osiris is one of, if not The first Guardian to resurrect from the dead or figure how to harness the traveler?

  • There is no royalty of the City. As far as we know the City is some sort of democracy/meritocracy. The New Monarchy want to set up a monarchy instead of the Consenus.
