The arbitrator ruled that O’Donnell’s rights as a shareholder should be restored. Bungie lawyers objected that if O’Donnell’s shares were restored, he would be a “bothersome presence at board meetings and in the company,” according to the arbitrator. But the arbitrator overruled them and restored O’Donnell’s rights.
He should show up to the meetings wearing the "I'm with Stupid----->" t-shirt.
-
I don't get why they fired him in the first place
-
Ever since this Harold Ryan character showed up, who I had never even heard before, it's been nothing but bad news. Rumor spreads that Marty got in a big argument with a board member, next thing you know his contract is terminated, then he sues Harold Ryan, then this. I feel bad for the majority of Bungie employees watching their friend get sacked and not being able to do anything, and knowing this is the kind of practice their current boss is doing. And obviously for Marty it's messed up.

I'm glad they fired him, they literally aren't worthy of his talent. Now maybe he'll go back to composing for halo games. On a side note, FU CK bungie for being such dicks.

Bungie is not even publicly traded. I guess kids dont understand what that means.
-
He didnt invite sir mccartney for tea.
-
Well, this turned into a Bitch fight really quick.
-
I'm glad that bungie got their butt pounding that they deserved on this one. I hope that marty attends every single board meeting from now until Bungie's end as a company. I want him to voice his opinion loudly also.

Sounds like some folks at Bungie were sick and tired of Marty and fired him on a whim. They probably should have given it more thought. Marty deserves all his unpaid wages and most of his stock, however, I'm sure there is probably an understandable reason (at least in some perspective) why he was fired.

Good. It seems like Bungie is in the wrong here. I've been a fan for years, but I don't agree with the firing of Marty and I'm glad he's getting what he deserves. Hodor.
-
This shit is crazy.
-
Until we somehow find out why Marty was fired in the first place, I will still have lost some of the respect I had for Bungie....
-
Good for Marty, Bungie deserves what they get for being greedy.
-
Good, he deserves at the very least this.
-
Good for him! Finally some justice
-
Give the man his job back, along with a written apology and a raise. After everything he's done for Halo and for Destiny, he deserves better.

Edited by Mystro612: 8/19/2014 9:35:13 PMI'm sorry but Marty is butthurt, and sounds like an entitled whiner. Halo didn't sell that many copies based on it's music. Now I'm not saying hes anything but great at what he does by any means. He is just fighting everything, making it seem like he thinks he made bungie what they are. Maybe his attitude got him fired..Nobody likes elitists, and his reputation (at least to me) seems as if he's the type. His next employer better think up a good contract, and force vacation time OR ELSE! Edit: Yasuaki Fujita > Marty O'Donnell

Companies can buy their stock back if they pay market price

Edited by Keeyop: 8/19/2014 9:27:03 PMAs emotive an issue as this is, not being privy to any reliable information relating to what happened, I'm not really in a position to comment and speculating on something without knowledge just seems ridiculous.
-
I thought this was odd. I new he got let go but I didn't think they could take someone's stalks away just because. Seems fishy.
-
Honestly, what were they thinking? im not fully on marty's side since were all in the dark but something must got arbitrator to rule in martys favor. *shrugs* just weird man weird
