Am I The Only One?
I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't mind everything Bungie has announced. No Split-screen, Fireteam sizes, the Crucible, and no private matches. Don't get me wrong, it's a pity we don't have Private matches or split-screen, but personally, I never expected there to be Private matches. Just kind of how I feel on the matters.

4 RepliesNo. Your are actually in the majority. There's a poll on here somewhere and only around 13% (at the time of checking) care about PvP. It's simply that the 13% are the most vocal on here. IMO they want the game to be something it's not.

I agree with you. I'm so hyped for Destiny, those things seem like insignificant problems to me.

I'm with you on this, I trust bungie to make the game the best it can be. I reserve my bitching and moaning till after release, that is the time for making the game our own and I believe bungie will help us do that. But let them finish their vision of the game first. Am tired of all the do this, do that, nerf this and implement that posts. The game looks great though, the 9th can't get here quick enough.

1 Replybut but.. its like making a shooter and saying you "cant" be competitive with it :/ like setting a limitation on how big the game can be.. thats the only problem with it.. a huge percentage of people want to be competitive and that little option would allow it to grow and grow should that be its.. um.. destiny :)

I feel like a lot of the things they aren't adding are being chalked up to how they want us to experience the game but it feels more like they got a little bit too ambitious. They definitely know that no private matches is a big mistake so I'd assume it's simply not done.

I'm with you. I can't begrudge any decisions made before the game launches. If people get up in arms about stuff then they probably shouldn't pre-order. People want Destiny to be the best game [b]for them[/b]. I'm just interested in seeing where this goes.

The only thing I've had an issue with is private matches. I want to play competitively on game battles and such so we need a way to make that happen. But I know Bungie will do something for us, they just aren't saying much so I'm not worried. What I would really like to see is an in game system that allows us to compete against the toughest opponents as a clan.

I agree it's their vision their game and I want to play it how they want it to be. For all those that want something else find a different game that fills your needs or just go and learn to make your own vision come true. Then you can have millions of people complain how they wanted this or that in your game.

1 ReplyI don't like the idea of the game lacking private matches mainly due to not being able to come up with fun games with friends. The game needs custom games, and I'm not talking about just for competitive pvp with friends, but to be able to come up with fun gametypes to play with a good chunk of people, even if those gametypes require honor rules like the fun gametypes in Halo 2.

I'm fine with everything they've said so far. I'm not as young as I used to be when I was a cod nerd I have no use for private matches and I like raids being a small amount of players because I don't have any friends :'(

4 RepliesI was actually happy to see the way Bungie is doing things with Destiny. Some things are different and for some reason that makes people mad. Also people don't seem to understand that the game is designed so you interact with everyone, not just your friends or the person sitting next to you. This game is pretty much a social experiment with a campaign.

Got to say i felt like how you do Samuel, I wasn't bothered with anything they had announced so far, the only thing they needed was a few tweeks here and there and also to get a few major glitches out ( Our lord Centipede )

Perhaps post launch they will implement a private match function. It makes little difference to me, either way, but if enough people want it with any luck they'll give them what they want.
