there's a great video on it from MoreConsole but essentially it's day one early weapons. one of each type all doing 60 dmg with no extra upgrades or dmg types. not sure what the level requirement is are how to access them but my guess is when you go the your vanguard after getting to the city they give you access to them.

  • So it's just early access?

  • Yeah, early access. You'd probably gain access to all the same stuff after gaining enough rep with the Vanguards or whichever other faction controls the Armory

  • I rather earn my access than have to pay for it. That's how I know what gun is best and I feel better.

  • I hear ya. However given the fact that in the armory there is only one of each weapon type, you won't have much choice whether you have early access or earn it

  • yeah but they aren't anything special. in the beta I don't remember anything having higher than mid fifties in dmg and if the were green you could upgrading them higher. the van guard armory is looking like a lvl 2-5 thing. I'm just looking forward to using the full set and comparing auto rifles to pulse rifles to blah blah and my own play style. figure out what type of gun works best in each situation and have a ful set with equal dmg will help the cause.

  • I looked up the Vanguard Armory advertisement and found something a bit odd - when the guy is moving his cursor over the gear that is equipped to his character, one of the weapons is the Harbinger, a level 10 rocket launcher with 106 attack. The odd part is that it shares that name with another rocket launcher later in the video, but with 60 attack (and presumably a lower corresponding level requirement). Perhaps that means the weapons and armor we can access in the Armory scale to our level - no telling when we outpace our need to buy from the Armory though. Another quick note: the Hunter helmet has 33 defense while the Warlock and Titan helmets both have 32. What gives, bungie? Stop playing favorites! (lol)

  • Hi I have pre ordered destiny limited edition and I know when you pre order it you will get the vanguard armoury to gear up on the first day and with the vanguard code, when you redeem it after the first day what does the vanguard armoury code do for you once you have redeemed it and what does it do for you or in the game later? So my question is basically what does the vanguard armoury do? Oh and how long will the vanguard armoury be available for until when

  • To your first question, you've basically answered it yourself in your first sentence: it allows you to get some good early - mid level gear. To answer your second question, my understanding is that you'll have access to the Vanguard Armory as long as you need it. And it stands to reason that you won't need it once you start earning gear that is better than what the Armory can provide, right?
