Promising, this game is the game all gamers have waited for. All the elements we enjoy from all the games we enjoy molded into one beautiful product. Can't wait for Sep 9.
This it is not. If you go outside these forums, a lot of people are not looking forward to Destiny and the Raid idea being for a small percentage of the player base seems to be pushing a lot of potential customers away from the game. Writers in other publications give a negative spin to the raids. GTA is designed to give all players reasonable access to all its content and it what is being given the example as to what Bungie should be doing. As for Bungie sticking to their vision, if the major portion of the gaming population starts walking away from this game after Sept 9th, you can bet Activision will be on Bungie to fix it with $500m being invested in the game. First thing will be raids because when you read most of the articles about this game, this is the only part of the game to get the really exotic end game stuff. This is what Bungie is focusing on for article discussions. Nightfall missions are barely mentioned, almost like an afterthought. Raids are closed off to most players due to its design. Most people have lives to live and have little time to be able to make it work to play a raid. Bungie's clearly major item/highlight for this game is for the minority only. Bad thing to be focusing on since it exclusives the vast majority of its potential buyers. The wilds of Destiny may just be that by November. The wilds with few players in it.

 • It is because I have a life outside of the game that I do not want matchmaking for raids because I would rather get together a group that I know than one I do not. Also most games for raids require a minimum of eight players, and up to 24 to 48 players. you need them to be a variety of classes or roles. The beauty of destiny is that you just need six players it doesn't matter the class. That might not be the optimal group but you can get it done regardless of classes I'm willing to wait and see, it might end up being a successful model. Thank you for the input.
