We don't really know what their shields are made of the color just signifies what to shoot it with.

  • But why? What enemy is stupid enough to color code their shields to the element they're weak against? Wouldn't it make more sense for them to be using a shield that at least looks like the element they normally use for literally everything they do? A hive wizard adept with void magic isn't going to use a shield that looks like its made of solar magic, it just wouldn't make sense. Yet that is what's happening. The only reason shields are not the color of the user's native element is so that the player knows specifically which element to hoot it with. Yet a new player, unless they're told otherwise, is probably going to see that shield and think it's made of the element it's colored. With that in mind, do you really think that new players first instinct is going to be to shoot that shield with the same element it looks like it's made out of? All I'm suggesting is a simple change that would keep the same weaknesses, but change the shields so that they look like they're made of the user's native element. That Hive wizard's shield will still be vulnerable to solar damage, but now it's purple and appears to be made of void magic, which is the Hive's native element. Player's are already going to know to use solar damage on that Hive wizard. Why? Because the Hive are Destiny's zombies. In every other game ever zombie's are vulnerable to fire. It just makes sense. It's one simple change that makes the enemies make a little bit more sense.

  • Well if it's a game JUST about zombies its not going to matter, whereas games with zombies as an enemy type, such as Warframe or Skyrim, have their fire damage as the most effective element to use against them.
