My community has been Allied with other clans/communities in the past to great success, but what has happened is that most members of these other groups end up leaving to become full members of ours. We have a Platoon system in place that pretty much allows for people to create their own clans within the community, at which point they receive their own sub-forum, can let as many people join their crew as they'd like while setting their own criteria as to who can join, and we'd have in-clan tournaments and events with Platoon v Platoon. It's been very successful, but with shooters being rather stagnant over the past year, the system was put on the back burner until something better came out. Enter Destiny. The fact that this came requires actual teams of 3 to 6 people has made Platoons rise again. While we don't exactly know how the MP system will work and as such can't really say what the competitive front will look like and what will be possible, Platoons will still be effective due to the desire for members to find others who have similar schedules, or similar gaming wants. And at that, I'll go ahead and post the Blast my community has been using. I'm by no means trying to poach people or anything so stupid, but right now our main objective is to find clans who want to have an organized place and professionally run website to settle down on. Incoming Copy!Pasta! (It's a lot of info, and I'd die if I typed it all out every time) I'll post our clan links soon, but first I'd like to give you some details about who we are, and what we represent: - Dogs of War Gaming (DOWG) has been around since 2010, and since then has amassed over 3100 registered members. - We support all major platforms, all major games, all nationalities, and all kinds of people. As a group that prides itself in having mature members, we accept anyone age 15+ only. No exceptions. - We have a great Admin Team in place to keep our forums fun, friendly, and inviting. If anyone ever has a question, the answers are given quickly. - We have a Ranking system that awards members for both in-game and on-site activity. - We have Platoon Support, meaning if you have a group you want to roll with regularly, you can have your own sub-forum given to you so that you and your Platoon can have a place to chat or recruit other DOWGs to join you based on whatever criteria you put forward. - We have plenty of members with great GFX skills who are willing to create signatures and other things for you, and are open to welcoming other artists to join our GFX team as well. - We have a strong Social Media presence on Twitter, Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube, and are looking to give anyone who wants exposure a chance to get it. - We have a rare community which, despite large numbers, remains a tight-knit group. Whether you're a PC, PS, XB, or even Mobile gamer, it's easy to be welcomed in, and involved with everyone, and the discussions that go on. - We run things based on the principals of having fun, and having a casual atmosphere when it comes to the site and activity in games. Life is Life, and we aren't always able to hop online at a given time. Gaming is a hobby, and we understand that. So there's never a time you'll be forced to be online. It's all about you, and gaming when you can/want to, and giving you a place to find people who will be there to game with you when you're able to hop on. - That being said though, Platoons enable members to create teams of competitive players as well, allowing you to do whatever you want to, while giving you a place to coordinate in our Forums. - We utilize the free App, GroupMe, to further enhance member communication for various games on various systems. As it can be used on a computer, cell phone or tablet, you can join a group for your console, for your game, and coordinate parties, ask questions to Officers, or just BS if you'd like. And truly this list can go on for a while. It really is a great and thriving community, always looking to evolve and improve, with a fully mature group of members. We also aren't in this to form Alliances, as I hope is evident from our Platoon system. If you are a member of another Clan who still wants to try us out, our site does allow the option to join as an Ally. Almost all members who start off as an Ally end up reapplying as a full member however, when it becomes evident what we are able to do within our community. So if you're a small clan just starting out, a lone gamer looking for a home, or even a bigger clan that wants to be a part of something bigger, join us at Dogs of War Gaming. If you like the name you've created for your clan, let that be your Platoon name when you join. Have signatures made to represent that. It's up to you what you want to do and become, in DOWG. And here are the links I mentioned I'd post, before typing out this novel! • what you have achieved extremely impressive but i am pretty dead set on creating a separate group in which other clans ally to in order to create a third party hub to base the concept around. sort of a no mans land idea. would it be much to ask of you to join and admin the site. its obvious you are far more experienced with the alliance creation software in bungie.net and it would be a massive help if you got the alliances working for my idea.

  • Is be happy to, but the fact is I have my hands tied up with leading DOWG (I'm one of the few Admin for the site, Leader for both XB1 & 360, and am one of the Officers leading Destiny). I've been there 3 years now, and am just very invested in all the goings-on there to be able to assist clans elsewhere in any capacity. We've had near 200 members join is since the Alpha alone, so it's been quite busy, as you can imagine. I completely understand wanting to create your own vision, and I wish you luck in that. If you do indeed decide to try us out though, throw me another message and I'll assist you with any questions, moves, etc. Good luck to you guys!
