So during the beta, I had made a male warlock and a friend made a female titan on my account. As I was playing the male warlock, there was occasionally some person who would stop by and spam emotes with me, and we would have ourselves a little dance party.
My friend then began playing as the female titan.
Mere seconds after he spawned at the tower after the intro mission, at least five or six other guardians (all male characters) stopped by and tried to have a dance party. Following this, I did an experiment, and what I found was:
In the time it took the male character to have 5 separate dance parties (with each unique individuals), the female character had 12.
Out of the 5 times the male character sat down, one other guardian sat down with me.
Out of the 5 times the female character sat down, a total of 7 other guardians sat down with me.
Out of 10 wave attempts at other guardians, 4 waved back to the male guardian.
Out of 10 wave attempts at other guardians, 11 (some people waved back that I didn't even wave to) waved back to the female guardian.
The conclusion of this experiment:
Ya'll thirsty.
EDIT: forgot to mention this. After experimenting, I simply ran and jumped off the edge of the tower with the female Guardian.............
And everyone came with me

This is when being 1 girl in a clan with 5 guys, has its perks. The guys respect me, yet we joke. But come time to when I'm being screwed with they back me up, in which case say I'm getting annoyed they actually have my back.

I am a female who plays as a female ….Every time I go to the tower I am followed around EVERYWHERE! I have no peace there. It has gotten to the point that it has become annoying and I no longer want to play the game. Wish Bungie would find a way to control this. I should not have to choose to be a male in this game to be left alone.
-
This is what ruins it for males that are just there to play and think you know what i wouldn't mind having some females to play with on here maybe get some female friends online some gender diversity. This can be made tough as you wouldn't want to appear as a creep or desperate not to mention if the female in question has been harassed to much and you just cop shit because of how others have been. But nothing says that the other guys aren't harassing them for the same reason i spose.

Edited by Dagger Jane: 8/4/2014 7:43:22 PMI find this funny: I keep hearing about guys playing as girls and being stalked/danced with/ whatever, but as a real girl playing as a female character, it didn't happen to me a single time. It's great that so many creepers are creepin' on actual dudes.
-
I'm usually swarmed by people just because I am one of the only level 29s in the tower at any given time, and I always have the nightfall buff on me. I never wave or dance in the tower, yet everyone points and waves at me. It doesn't make me feel popular, just a try hard that deserved the gear I worked for.
-
I laughed my ass because this happens all the time to creepers xD in almost any mmo I've played there is always that one guy following every female character he sees and spams emotes.
-
Umm I don't know what to say to this....
-
Conclusion: men will follow a women to their deaths.
-
I dance with everyone!! With male, female, human, exo, awoken, and heck even with the purple ball!
-
Diva gamer here. No creepin occurred. I danced, bashed the darkness and had a great time with fellow gamers. It was a blast. Can't wait till 9/9.

People are desperate yo
-
the morral of the story is dressing in Drag in Destiny is very attractive if your a Homosexual.
-
Lol My girlfriend made her own psn account on my ps4 and started playing. Once she got to the tower, I kept getting texts from her about random guys following her, all over the tower. Doesn't help her psn is pumpkinqueen.
-
You my friend have way too much time on your hands
-
Girls don't play games.
-
I think there's a lot of people new to the whole mmo bit of the game here. They don't realise gender in game is no indicator of gender in real life.
-
gamer girls put up with a lot of shit dont they

Edited by Randy Shibai: 8/11/2014 10:33:17 AMI'll tell you the number 1 reason I don't play a female character: creeping facking dudes trying to hit you up cause they think you're an actual female. Seriously, I used to run female toons every once in a while, but MMOs changed that for me quick. There's nothing like getting a pm/tell from some dude wanting to virtually "hook up" cause my character looks like his "waifu." :/

Edited by okonma5: 8/6/2014 12:04:04 AMIf they add proximity chat it would be funny to use a fake voice and watch them flock over when a girl says can anybody help me. Then change to a deep ass guy voice and say thx.

Edited by the UPS guy: 8/6/2014 4:52:10 PMHaha "Yall thirsty"
-
Edited by BreakInfinite: 8/5/2014 9:43:10 AMI mean why not be a girl? WE CAN'T EVEN HAVE MUSTACHES! I always play as male. But playing as a male without a moo-stache?!? ARE YOU INSANE?!?
-
I don't understand guys wanting to be chicks in video games like REALLY its just confusing and weird like I didnt even know girls played destiny I thought they were all creepy dudes
YALL THIRSTY!
-
I play as a female in all of my games because: 1. I'd rather have something nice to look at, especially when the game has a feature like dancing. 2. Female armor is always super badass when it actually covers the character (see: Metroid, Guild Wars, Dust 514) 3. Most players think I'm a girl anyways because of my name, how respectful I am, and the fact that I'm a better support player than a slayer.
-
Haha good conclusion.
-
This thread has made me LOL too much. But, i have to agree...there is something about female players that draw more attention. Opposites attract right? Not to mention..us ladies have some nice features (not that males dont ;) ) Maybe thats why ladies are gawked at more? Or....were all just a bunch of animals ready to ravage one another? I dunno.
Ya'll thirsty.
^^Yep...sums it up. lol

That only really seems to happen when guys play as female characters, I guess they're a little more prominent with their feminism than an actual girl. I use to play as a female in Runescape 2 when it came out. You wouldn't believe how many "boyfriends" I had, let alone how quick they were to give me their valuable gifts. lol.
