After recently editing some gameplay videos I have come to realize how valuable theater mode was in HALO 3. With the standard recording, you get what you get. If you happened to look the other way for 3 seconds you could have missed the most EPIC MOMENT you could have shared with the world. If you had the same feature you would be able to change the angle or even pan and zoom. This offers the possibility of some of the best gameplay footage available for this day and age. Its best to get ahead of the competition when it comes to gameplay footage, it sells itself. I have noticed a lack in this department within the PS4 world. Don't get me wrong, the options we do have for recording and sharing our clips is good, but not great. If anyone knows if this feature will be available, or have any comment's on the subject please let me know.
If DeeJ or any other bungie folks would please fill me in I would be grateful.

I never played Halo, but I have played many NHL franchise games, and the different camera views the permitted allowed for a more "newslike" feel to it. +1 sir

Ahh, the theater in Halo was great. Proving I shot that *Insert expletive here* in the head in team snipers and he still got away. I would say that, they are likely using a lot of components from the engine they built for Halo, and as such would most likely implement a theater mode. But I said the same thing about splitscreen... Also the whole "No menu, you're just in the game" thing kind of suggests there won't be a theater mode. Not unless I can get a popcorn booth in my fancy spaceship...

More than likely. Do you remember that circle that was right next to the Crucible?? More than likely a forge mode/theatre.
