Keeping Characters
So I have been excited for Destiny since its announcment and no game has been fun since then, and as soon as the Ps4 beta came out I played it every day till its closing time, and I love my Character and its sad to see him go, but I will make one exactly like him in the full game!
But what i was thinking is, Destiny is apparently meant to have a few games in the series... (which will cost me a lot of money as I'm going to buy every collectors edition for it) ...and its all set in 1 universe, so maybe we could bring our characters over to the next game? and when other players go on our profiles it will say our Guardians birth date, so for example mine will be 9th September 2014 (or 8th September if pre-orders get the game a day before like some do).
We could keep our gear but it woudl all be put into the vault and you wouldnt be able to equipt it until you re-reach the required level!
I would like this very much.

It will be just additions to the game so it gets bigger and better. The lvl cap will increase new better more powerful weapons will come along with gear. You will still use your same character, kind of like WoW, DCUO etc etc New areas will be through dlc and expansion packs, not new games every year

Uhh this is a beta, most top notch beta games do a fresh start, beta is just a test, name atleast 10 popular games where the beta is transferred over to the final game. Thanks for understanding (^_−)−☆

I think they already said somewhere, that they intend for you, to be able to migrate your character into the next games.

We should be given the option to carry over our old characters if there is going to be a series like Halo or DLC with Destiny.

The 'start fresh' vote has got a whole bunch of votes, I think it would be easy for us to carry our characters over to the next game so we can keep the same guardian throughout the time of Destiny and take him/her on many explorations, that'd be neat, and then the people who want to start fresh can literally delete their progress when they get the next game and start a new character, then both sides win!

i would expect to carry chars over from each game, and im sure they did say thats what will happen though cant recall were about i saw that

1 ReplyMisread the point, changed my vote. I think they're aiming to have our Guardians go along for the ride with us. Meaning that as each game comes out, we'll port over old Guardian and keep him going (if we so choose; obviously we could always start fresh in a new game). I first thought you meant for the beta, and immediately tabbed "no," but from game to game, that seems to be part of the idea.
