Destiny withdrawal support group
For anyone who is already suffering from destiny withdrawal. This is an open group and we support all people with their varrying levels of addiction.

5 RepliesIt's been 4 long days since I've used Destiny. I was convinced it was out of my system. Sleeping habits went back to normal, sweating, cramps, shakes everything went away. But today while at work we were in a safety meeting. And the end of the meeting my boss said these simple ninja stealth words "remember guys, we are all in control of our own DESTINY". I think I may have blacked out for a short time. But all the pain and sorrow came right back, every memory was rehashed. The struggle is real

Here's a couple ideas to keep the gamer shakes at bay: Even if you beat The Last of Us before, the newly polished, next gen version looks tempting. Probably going to have to swoop that up this weekend. Try Borderlands 2 for the withdrawals. It was free a few months ago on PS+ and the expansions are fairly good. Then you've got Diablo III for PS4 in a few weeks too. It's gonna be tough to wait for 9/9 but there's enough to keep our minds off it.

Once the beta was over I tried to suffice my thirst for ADVENTURE YYEEEEAAAAHHHH I tried cod BF bad company and majin and the forsaken kingdom but nothing came close I need to get a soda it's so freaking depressing

I'm Duskyrook. *hello Duskyrook* Despite my limited contact with the drug, my withdrawal symptoms are still as strong as those of my fellow sufferers. No matter what game I try to play, be it good old Halo 3 ODST, or action packed Bioshock Infinite, it can't fill the gap Destiny has left. And I'm serious when I say this, but video games I loved to play have lost some of their Glimmer [ba dum tsss]. Okay that made me sound like a loser never mind. 1 ReplyHi. My name is Yogurt Guzzler, and I've been Destiny free for a very long time. For a long time I have been depressed, but then I found something called the Destiny Beta. Thought I would give it a try, see if it could restore my happiness. I downloaded and played it, and in that moment I smiled. I smiled for the first time in my life, I jizzed, I smiled, I laughed! I was so happy, joy shot through every part of my body. The Destiny Beta gave me a reason to live. But then one day I tried to start up the beta and it wouldn't work... I cried for endless days, until eventually my family finally stepped in and told me that I should seek help. So I did, and found you guys. You've been really helpful, I even thought about killing myself, but you all have helped me through it all. Thank you. Maybe I can try to survive until the game actually comes out.

But I need help I can't remember what destiny is, I'm scared, every time I log on my ps4 I just sit there looking at my friends list, this are not playing any of their games either, I'm just looking at the screen, waiting to see what my future holds.....why can I be that mad guy in back to the future or whatever it is and go to the 9/9 I think I'm turning down......turning down............TURN DOWN FOR WHAT?

I can't look at another FPS again, not that I normally could, but Destiny made it hard... hell even Skyrim is hard to play now. I pace back and forth scratching my arm. I swear I scratched 5 layers of skin off. I never had this bad of the jitters. The past game jitters were easy to over come but this? I never hung around a forum this much before, I have to get on every 40 secs to check out what's new. *curls up on bed sniffing* I can't sleep... it's so cold.

I often load up halo Spartan assault and let that music play and day dream about how me my best friend and little brother banded together and explored together. Pointing at the sun set. Mowing down fallen as a team. How we helped this lvl 2 out when he was in danger and like a gentle storm we made our way deeper into old Russia as he waved us off...... the memories are real. The adventures true....... why did it have to end *tears up as the sun sets*

1 ReplyI am shaking and coming out in sweats, occasionaly hearing noises and hiding in the cubboard from the hive as i dont have access to my rifle. I wake up in the middle of the night screaming guardian down and looking for my ghost. I have also been melee punching my furniture practising for the hive, it was all good until i relised i have nothing to sit on now ..

1 ReplyMy name is AwesomeLion and I'm a destinyholic. It's been.. Wow.. It's been more then 60 hours since I was trying to save the galaxy and its been.. Hell. I've been spending my time on destinycountdown site, taking picture everytime a "fun" number showed up (like 41:11:11:11) and will probably keep doing so. Xbox is only turned on when girlfriend wants to watch something. I usually try to visualize the main actors in the movie she picked as Guardians and the protagonists as Fallen. I've been looking into ways to freeze myself to be unthawed at release. My experiments (sticking my head in the fridge) has yet to yield any note worthy results (besides making me cold). At the time of this posting, there is 40 days, 10 hours and 40 min left until release or 970 hours and 40 min if you prefer. The wait hurts and it will hurt for a long time.

Hey, my name is Avery and I'm a destinyholic. *Hey Avery*. I first noticed my problem when the beta came out one ps3/ps4. I stood up all night watching streams. Then it came out on Xbox and I didn't sleep the first night. After the beta I stared at my screen for at least an hour or so saying I should have played more. Now all I do is look at the forums.

29 RepliesHello....my name is Alexa. It's been, oh it hurts to think about it, but it's been 40 hours since I last held my controller & interacted with any fellow Guardians. I'm a Destinyholic. LoL! Weird thing is, I now turn the Xbox on & can only stare at my menu. I have no desire to play anything else. LoL! I looked at my most recent players list & apparently I'm not the only one. Seems a majority either have Destiny as their last played game or have gone to watching videos. ^_^ The few who have played another game it's either only 1 or 2...or they've bounced around & not really stayed in one or another. Rick James said "Cocaine is a helluva drug", but I think instead that "Destiny beta was a helluva drug!" ^_^

3 RepliesAs one of those who played the Alpha I remember the long wait until the beta. Be strong fellow Guardians. The wait is survivable. However, you must focus on your plans for the game and not on the wait. This way you can stay hyped, plan for the future, and help pass the time.

3 Replieshi my name is ... well i don't remember .. last thing i remember is I was waiting in queue in my car listening to some kind of music on the radio, waiting to pass the wall in Russia to get rations my wife was next to me playing angry birds on the phone and the kids in the back on their i pads playing minecraft... then there was a darkness that covered the sky.. now i'm standing here looking at my car , rusted and surrounded by dust it looks too old to my car .. where are my wife and kids ... why is this little floating thing telling me i have been resurrected to be a guardian ... whats a guardian... whats going on ... why do i feel an undeniable force telling em to follow what this floaty thing says.. whats going on...

40 days, 18 hours till launch as of this post. the itching and the twitching are still severe from withdrawal. cant sleep. paid off the preorder of the limited edition at the gamestop nearby. going to get the dark souls 2 dlc tomorrow i think, and try to focus on finishing the achievments out on that. then probably do a mass effect trilogy insanity/ achievment run to kill some time. ive been cuddling my ipod touch with the destiny app open, cherishing the limited connection. troll the webs for anything new news wise every few hours throughout the day. 40 more days.... thats not so long.... right???
