All right guys, I have been waiting to post this, but last night DeeJ confirmed, that there will be 1 explorable location per planet and this basically also confirmed, that the following source is realible:
http://destinydb.info/activities (edit: the creator of the website asked me to write that the info is from 30.June)
I browsed this website a lot and realized how endgame content is going to work. To sum it up:
Before you read on: this may or may not be how the final product is going to look like. It is just a speculation based on the website mentioned above. I do not want to convince you about anything, but I'm sure if you browse that site you will come to a similar conclusion.
Beware, this may contain spoilers!!!
- 4 explorable locations (Earth, Moon, Mars, Venus)
- 6 strikes (1 Earth, 1 Moon, 2 Mars, 2 Venus. However one of the Mars strike is PS exclusive.)
- 1 raid (The Vault of Glass)
- 16 pvp maps
It's already been told, that we are going to hit lvl 20 quickly. So what happens after this?
We are going to have the possibility to run a random strike (accessible from the orbit) on a higher level:
-lvl18
-lvl20
-lvl22
-lvl24
For example the Devil's Lair is going to be there on those difficulties.
But how can you achieve a level over 20? It is well documented, that you can get to lvl 20 by collecting XP. In order to gain additional levels, you need to obtain gear with "light stat" . Light gives you additional level.
So, what you are going to do, when you hit 20? You will go to lvl 20 strikes to get gear with light. I suspect, that the strikes and rewards will be scaled, so that you have to spend a lot of time on a level in order to get access to the next one.
What happens, when you hit lvl 24 and finished farming all the high level strikes? You go to weekly strikes
This means, that every week there is going to be a strike on an even higher level.
-lvl24
-lvl26
-lvl28
For example Devil's Lair is going to be this strike from 09.sept. - 16.sept. And so on. This mode is called: Nightfall
After you cleared all the weekly strikes you go to the Vault of Glass. It will be on lvl27, lvl31 and lvl31.
EDIT_1:
I also found something called "Activity Power" associated to every activity on that website. I think it's the true scale of difficulty of each activity. For example:
lvl 8 - Devil's Lair = Activity Power 0,37
lvl 20 - Devil's Lair = Activity Power 8
lvl 24 - Devil's Lair = Activity Power 53
lvl 28 - Devil's Lair = Activity Power 98
lvl 31 - Vault of Glass = Activity Power 132
This will take time Guardians!
EDIT_2:
Meanwhile basically the same Information appeared on Destiny Reddit:

Not gonna lie this is pretty disappointing, the territories are big but all the concept art revealed just kind of seems like they have all this content available and are cutting it out from the final release. Oh well I would have waited to get the expansion pass after launch had I known this but I don't regret it yet... We'll see.
-
1 raid..? I was thinking like 10 raids, 20 strikes, i dont think theyd make the game That small with all the time they put into it, maybe deej is underhyping it to -blam!- with us like he always does haha he seems to love toying with us
-
So your "source" is a random website? Lol
-
Edited by ProfessorSports: 7/27/2014 4:47:45 PMfree updates after launch with more content maybe? I could see them doing that especuially when we have seen concept of the rift ,europa, old chicago, the reef. So i think we can say there will be free dlc after launch
-
I think that sound pretty damn good. Roll on Sept 9th
-
You left out The Reef
-
I'm confused. What about the reef, mercury and saturn? We've had snippets of in game stuff from each of these locations. Are they just story and not open world areas? And only six strikes? Well five of your xbox... So no Mumbai or Chicago or european dead zone. Thats a let down.

Edited by Seraph: 7/27/2014 5:38:12 PMAnd to think I had concerns on Destiny's longevity based on the Lv.20 cap. The sad thing is Old Russia is already beginning to feel repetetive to me, after a week and a half of levelling 3 characters, if we've already experienced a quarter of the games full size then Destiny is much smaller than we were all led to believe ( whatever happened to less than 1/10 of the game ). Not that this a complete deal breaker. I spent years ( almost 1000 hours ) playing Phantasy Star Online episodes 1 and 2 trying to get all my characters to Lv.200 and hunting rare weapons and equipment. A game with less than a dozen individual stages, thing is I no longer have the tolerance for repetition that I did 10 to 15 years ago.
-
With the size of this game been 10 years of course there not going to have everything straight away! The content that is provided from day one will be a hundred plus hours! Other sections will be made available once they have made them
-
Oh my this has killed my hopes for the games quality focus. It seeems to be based far more on repetition and farming rather than continual story. Looks like it is a game to buy and Then put down quickly until the next sequel comes out. Their advertising sounded like it was more... Very small amount of zones though.
-
Damn waste of time and money, it's a grindfest after all and not even an expansive one.
-
Why are you people believing this guy? His "source" isn't a real source. Please stop being gullible.
-
I may be wrong but, to me, it looked like the vault of glass was a strike not a raid.
-
Hey, it says gullible on the ceiling.
-
Edited by skittlez86: 7/27/2014 5:10:57 PMi was hoping for something more
-
I heard this vault of glass rAid is 16 hours...?
-
What about The Reef?
-
Edited by xSwiftVengeancex: 7/27/2014 5:20:55 PMWhen did Deej confirm there would only be 1 exploreable location per planet?
-
Thats all we can explore?!? What the -blam!-?! Maybe there is one exploring map per planet but u can get to all of them through different doors! And I thought there was more planets?!
-
Funny, because there is already more than one area confirmed for Earth within the Beta itself. Nice try.
-
Even though there aren't that many locations, the difficulty scaling should make the initial content last a long time. According to the activity power levels, the Vault of Glass is 356 times as hard as a level 8 Devil's Lair Strike. I'm not sure if that will hold up at level 20 with the best gear, but hopefully it'll be crazy challenging.
-
Sounds lame. Only 6 strikes and 1 raid? If that's true this game is going to be extremely small.
-
I suggest to wait until after Sept 9 to see how many places they actually have to explore.
-
Truly GOTY with 4 levels and based Bungie announcing expansions before the game even releases. This game is such a blessing. What the hell happened, Bungie? You used to be cool.
-
I know for a fact Jupiter and Saturn are confirmed. Check your grimoire and go to locations.

Edited by ScouserHUN: 7/27/2014 5:38:02 PMOMG... People who think endgame content means "more places to explore" do know nothing Endgame content is doing high level instances (strikes) and raids, along with daily quests (bounties) and getting the loot you desire In Diablo 3 the campaign is 5 hours long, and you'll see all the explorable locations in that playthrough. But people get addicted to it, because it's driven by the ultimate reward: LOOT #InBungieWeTrust
