Hello everyone, my name is Brian, I am 17, and as the title above says, my brother Kris is 11 and he has autism and until a week ago his conditions were worsening and my family and I knew of no way on how to help him calm down and control his emotions or even get him to talk to us. That was until he played destiny and fell in love with his companion ghost. He loved walking around with his ghost in his hand and it didn't to him if he walked slower if it meant he could talk to and see his ghost. He loved talking to it as if it were his best friend. Whenever ghost spoke, my brother smiled and spoke back to him. I gave up my play time for my brother to have as much time to play as possible and be with his ghost. I didn't find out until earlier today about the Ghost edition and it including a ghost toy that spoke back to anyone around it and I was so heartbroken when I found out that no one had it online or in stores. I've started looking for a job to pay for the package when I find it, if I ever do, but I am willing to look everywhere and I want to ask for help me find one that I can preorder and reserve for my brother Kris so he can meet his best friend again and be able to talk to him when he can't play video games. Thanks everyone and a special thank you to Bungie for this amazing game, Destiny.

Just a tip of advice, don't pre order from Walmart. They've been canceling people's pre orders so don't do it unless you wanna chance a let down. If I find one though, I'll let you know. Will you buy from online?

OP just wants a ghost edition for himself.

Good luck man.

pics or it didn't happen

Hey if he just wants the ghost you can probably buy one on bungie store or something have you looked? Idk for sure but the ghost edition is a bunch of game content and stuff just like limited edition only cpmes with a toy ghost.

It's good that you guys have a ps4 already (lucky!) but you may want to expand your choices on platform. They're making ghost editions for PS3, Ps4, X360 and X1. Can always turn around and trade the game right back in to gamestop or Walmart or best buy to get back some of the cost of buying for a different platform. Best of luck (if it's real). I used to babysit an autistic child that absolutely loved Pokemon. It settled him to play it and just draw the characters free hand. Once they lock onto something it's a unique bond.

Edited by Buddhas Palm: 7/29/2014 12:43:34 AMReally hope you get one for your brother. I think your best bet will be to wait till release and I'm sure soon after people will start selling just the ghost toy on eBay and maybe other sites. Also 48 hours after launch try GameStop, some may not have picked up their preorder but try to get there as soon as they open!

My son has Aspergers, it's in the family of autism but it's not much of a issue. More like a OCD thing at his age now ( about to be 11 ). He's extremely intelligent and plays a very high level of hockey for his age. Why hockey ? Doctors told us to get him involved in the sport when he was 5. NHL guys all have crazy OCD things and think things way ahead.. Sure enough they are right. He plays AAA on a birth year team 2 ages ahead of him. He just sees the game before it happens. I can understand the stuff about the ghost as I could see him gravitate towards it. Point being, best of luck to your family, I know some autistic kids. It's a tuff situation. I pre- ordered digital guardian in edition for myself and the ghost edition for my son (ps4). He doesn't know he's getting the ghost edition, if you can prove to me in private this is not bullshit, I will send the ghost edition (paid for already) and just buy my son a regular version. I can totally understand the thing with the ghost, if no one has helped you my offer is here.

Oh look I found you one on Ebay, just search for it.

Edited by Parazrael: 7/29/2014 1:43:42 AMLook into the Bungie Foundation. Their job is to reduce the suffering of children. Send them an email and they'll sure as fish eggs send your little bro a Ghost, magnetic hovering abilities and all. Sure hope you get the ghost. I've never really met anyone with autism, but I know enough to know your not lying. Hope Kris likes the Ghost. Tell him its name is Byf.

Didn't pass judgement because there was always the possibility you were telling the truth. Now that we know you are not a greedy internet asshole, allow me to say: You're a badass brother.

Edited by o0 DaGnOmE 0o: 7/29/2014 2:32:20 PMGamestop has some in stock now I just checked, you can preorder from their website http://m.gamestop.com/Catalog/Product/115813 They may have sold out already though, worth a shot.

Only the 360 version is left but it's still a ghost edition. http://m.gamestop.com/Catalog/Product/115828

Very touching, but at the moment your chances of getting one from a retailer are almost none. You'll definitely be able to pick one up from ebay for much more $$$, but maybe someone will be nice enough to sell you one for the MSRP because of your story. Good luck!
-
Best shot miiiiight be ebay if you just want the ghost... you are guaranteed to find one. They are worth about $45 so don't get scammed into thinking you have to pay a ton. Best of luck.

Be cool if someone could make a Talking Ghost app.
