I doesn't freaking Matter what your guy looks like no one is ever going to look anyways ... tell me you look at the color of eyes other players have and what kind of stubble they may have on their face ... You want to play dress up go get in your mom's closet ... This game is about killing stuff ... Go out and kill stuff.

People like you piss me off. You're negating for the sake of negating. Suggesting this has no detriment to you OR the game whatsoever, so if you don't give a damn about what your character looks like, then that's solely on you. Don't expect everyone to think the same way.

I look at it as ... let's spend eh 200 hours worth of developers time coming up with uhmmm let's say 1/4" stubble 3/16" stubble 1/8" stubble 1/16" stubble and clean shaven for the 17 different bone structures on our guy that looks like Brad Pitt. Or maybe spend those 200 hours adding in another short side mission or tweaking the code to make the AI just that much better. So negating or not ... I'd rather have a more intelligent challenging experience than some superficially dreamed up prefect looking hero. You can't see their freaking faces anyways all you ever get to see is the back of their head.

I can't argue with the distribution of developers time, but I agree that gameplay is top priority. If there were resources put into the game that creates broad character customization AND good additional gameplay mechanics, I feel that you would still be complaining about character customization for the sake of it.

No I'm good with some character customization but when it gets to the point that you adjust the cheek bones and the tilt of the eyes ... is ridiculous when from one end of the slider to the other you barely tell a difference .... beards sure have 8 different beards and 10 different hair styles and skin tone sure ... eye color is pushing it unless you could see it but every thing else over that is just fluff and a waste of time in my opinion

You're absolutely right. And I agree that intricate customization options like that would be pushing it, and adding more face and hairstyle options would be perfect. But even if this were to somehow make it in the game without completely wasting valuable developers time on more important things, then that would still be okay because some people care about aesthetics more than you .

Nah...I would love to play dressup and detail my character to how I want to look so when im killing this Giraffelitis Default looking player he won't feel bad I thought he was a NPC..

I think most people actually care about what their player looks like. This isn't a simple FPS like Battlefield. It's partly a Role Playing Game. The game is certainly not ~only~ about killing stuff. It's about making your own story for your own character, going on an adventure, and discovery. You're completely missing the entire point of Destiny. Also, bringing my mother into this has utterly convinced me that you cannot be any older than ten years old.

Whoa sorry to bring your mom into it run upstairs and apologize to her for me. As for role playing and playing your characters role ... Can your character talk? Do you get to make decisions based on your alignment good evil neutral ... How about interacting with other players and stealing from their packs or healing them or even sniping one off while sitting atop the skywatch. Nope didn't think so ... It's a great game but it's a MMOFPS not an RPG just because you have somewhat of a skill tree doesn't make it an rpg. RPGs are so mislabeled it is insane ... There was only one true RPG and that was Ultima Online everything else claims to be but you really can't play into the role you choose for your character you have to follow the rules and restrictions built into the game. It is just another FPS beautifully crafted and pushing the envelope of what an FPS is but still at the end of the day ... an FPS
