Interesting thought I had when I learned that the beacon quests specifically gave spinmetal:
If we assume each planet's exploration areas give a single type of material, this would only confirm four different explorable terrains. One of the materials specifically mentions Venus. Spinmetal is on earth. We may find out what we'll find on the moon tomorrow, and Mars is another explore that'll probably yield a unique material.
Of course this is all speculation based on what I've seen so far. Your thoughts on the matter?

Edited by MartinOfRedwall: 7/26/2014 6:28:40 AMCheck the trade in section at the vanguard vender. There are 4 tickets. The first is for Spinmetal, the material of Earth. There are 3 more materials. One for the moon, Venus, and Mars. Edit: Re-read your post, in short, your thoughts are confirmed by the game. I vaguely remember seeing helium filaments and spirit blossoms as materials for Mars and Venus respectively.

Does that mean there are only four planets!? O.O

I can't find it at the moment, but there was a post with a filled in orbit map. 4 planets, the "reef" (I have no idea), and whatever dlc. Keep in mind, this is Destiny 1. The contract with activision is for 3 Destiny games and 3 major dlcs.

Maybe they'll be more then three Destiny games. (: They said this is for a 10 year plan so there must be more then three Destiny games or perhaps a bunch of DLC content.

Bungie made Halo games for 9 years and hosted stats for Reach up through march of 2012, making them Halo related for 11. I think they take their big franchises one decade at a time.

Relic Iron is found on Mars Spirit things are from Venus Helium Filaments are from the Moon

I was looking at some of the legendary weapons for sale and previewed a few and there was requirements for the spirit and helium to upgrade certain specs

Shouldn't helium be Venus?
