    Hello Guadians, hello Bungie! Let me introduce myself, my name is Petr Švancara, I am a long term fan of the Halo Universe. Like others here I am also one who love the Bungie studios. Bungie's previous work(s) and especially the Bungie's art creators and musical composers. I think that whole team is very talented and experienced as well. Design(s) from Bungie provides us a many unique ideas and even more original concepts. In the terms of the Destiny itself, there are a huge amount of different design(s) and art(s) in the game. Sci-Fi genre is one of the most potencional world/place where can be made almost everything, and I think that, this is the main reason why we all like the Destiny. Reason why i created this topic is mainly based on the eventual adding of the new design elements in the final version of the game. Here is a couple of my ideas that should not be hard to add in the game. One last thing. Before I present here some of my thoughts and ideas, I want to say, that I clearly know how difficult is to implement those additions in the game. Especially in this current stage. - Helmets and Faces Customization(s) is one of the best thing(s) almost in every good and advanced game. It gives the player(s) a freedom in the terms of let anyone choose what anyone want. Destiny is totally a one of the best games that I ever see. And believe me, I play many games across many platforms. But, lets get back to the helmets and faces right? Destiny gives the player(s) option to create own character(s) and especially the faces as well. Those faces are very unique and very different among each other. It's beacuse every player choose something different between those choices. But lets be more accurate about this. In the game itself there is no option for choosing to wear or dont wear a helmet. Helmet is just a permanent choice. And i think that it is a little bit annoying. Players in Destiny have a numerous kind of variations between armors and weapons, but when it comes to the helmets, there is no option for choose if you really want your helemt show or hide. But why I writing about it? Just because only place when you can see your precisely created face is simply the tower or animation story sequences. It's still good to see faces in every possible way, but in other way it's not enough. When the players reach some kind of higher level, it's highly probable that there can be more players wearing the same or at least very similar armor. I can imagine a more than 20 helmets for all sides, for titan, hunter or warlock each. So probability to meet other players with the same or similiar helmets it's relatively high. Even if there would be more type of this helmets, its still the same case.But there is a way how Bungie can simply solve this problem. If the programmers can add a choice for player(s) to wear or dont wear their helmets. I think that solving this problem would be for many players very cool variant. Players can be very different across each other. If there would be some players that would still want to wear their helmets, then o.k! No problem, those helmets could be just invisible or visible, just for the effect to see our precisely created faces in the gamaplay, in the story and even in the crucible. - Dear Bungie It should be just something like a turn helmets on/off (visible / invisible). Like a optional choice somewhere in the guardian's stuff menu, where you can simply tune it for your wish. Don't you like your helmet, or do you just want to see your face because you are proud for it? Do you want to create a friendly clan composed only from exo's, humans or awokens? o.k. why not, imagine a clan filled with those players, and all their faces. Iťs a huge opportunity to give players a perfect experinece with their unique face designs. Some guardians should be playing together, because they would be creating a teams or clans, maybe clans organized from one of those existing races. And this idea is just more than awesome! Yes, there could be some questions, like is there a oxygen it this atmosfere or not? o.k. so do this possibility only on Earth places, because if there could be flying birds, (and tower open areas proving that there is oxygen) than this option can be apply only on Earth, it's very logical. I mean if there is places like a Moon, Mars or Venus then sure, do this option to take off your helmets only on Earth. Even if this option would be added only for Earth territory, it would be still more than perfect addition to the game. - Truly, there are many more players that would be happy with this improvement. I am not only one. - I believe that even some of your employees in Bungie will be happy with this game enrichment. - Even some players that never think about this can be glad for this possibility. - I believe that this option should not be hard to add in the game, at least at this time. - Imagine this options that can this addition give to all the guardians, all this unique faces. As like i write above, I really like Bungie studios. I have a piece of your stuff in my heart! So I hope that this topic would be valuable for you guys! In every other way, Destiny is excellent game, I played BETA, and I just know it, not only I know it, so please Bungie, please use your remaining time for adding this option (take off your helmet on/off) to the game, it would be overwhelming!       • To everyone complaining about campers i feel your pain.. but at the end of the day bungie can do ntn to stop them. No matter what they change ppl are still goin to find them some dark place, start a lil bomb fire,pull out there sleeping bags and tents and starr roassting marshmellows until they spot some one to kill..camping is not a skill they learn overnight.. camping is in there blood..be grave dosent apply to there kind..

          • I'm just going to put this out there, anyone that thinks they are keeping their characters, weapons, or anything other than the beta emblem when the full game releases, is denser than a wet rock. Or they have never played anything in beta before and " they don't know better", so it's not entirely their fault when they sound like complete idiots posting in the forums crying about their precious hours "wasted" in the beta cuz they can't keep their poop tier items.

              • I was very enthusiastic about the game overall. I loved the change from PvP to Pve and i liked the difficulty from Pve. I also liked the speed of PvP. Furthermore i liked how i looked and who my charaxter was. The whole game was very alive. There is only one thing bungie: PLEASE DO SOMETHING ANOUT THE CLASSES. i would like it to have more difference between characters zo that the game would be more dynamic and evryone would feel more like they were suuted for special enemy's or situations. Thats my only thing

                  The chat system needs some work. In the tower I wish it had an area voice chat type setup with proximity. That would give more of a mingling feel to possibly make new friends or chat with friends in different fire teams. I would also like to see area chat in free roam. I hope there is at least A clan chat system. Can't wait for sept.

                  • i think people are looking into this game to much......... to much hype for it......... look what happen to watchdogs. iwas so hyped for that game then when i got it im like wth. the more things i see wrong with with this game make me wounder...... at lest with halo i know what im getting.with this the teen rating going to make this like call of duty.... kids running around being complety idoits. with the raids in this since its a mmo/ shooter.

                          My opinions on the beta were as follows. Ideally I'd hope Bungie would read my input, given that that's the purpose of a Beta. Realistically they probably won't, but I'll try to be helpful anyway. Comment if you agree or disagree...or whatever suits you...this is gonna be long: [b]PvE[/b] [u]PROS[/u] -The game in general was easily a 9.5/10. In terms of how much FUN this game is to play, it is completely unparalleled in my mind. This game is an utter joy to play, and continued to be, right up until I got kicked off 5 hours ago. -THANK YOU for not allowing interpersonal trade in Destiny. Trade makes loot less valuable to everyone, favors boring grinders, and makes 'trophy' items a joke. -It was incredible fun running around aimlessly just killing enemies in Old Russia, collecting loot, doing miniquests, and finding treasure. -The sparrow wins my 'most enjoyable vehicle to drive in any game ever' award. It was an absolute blast. -Each secondary weapon had a clear specific scenario for which it was to be used, and excelled when used correctly. -The variety of 'perks' on weapons and armor was more than I expected, and has left my head spinning with possibilities. -The strike that was available had a genuine skill requirement, something I very much appreciated. If you sucked, you died...a LOT. *cheering* -The autorifles, scout rifles, rocket launchers, fusion rifles, LMGs, and sniper rifles felt exceptionally balanced for PvE -Supers felt awesome. Everything about them was fun to use. [u]CONS[/u] (many of these are very minor things I just think could be tweaked) -Green engram drops were turning into white quality items at the cryptarch, perhaps this was because of the low level? It seemed both cruel and redundant given that white engrams already drop as white loot. I would also like to see blue and purple loot have its own colored sphere, perhaps it does, but I decoded a green engram and got a blue item several times, so I'm thoroughly confused. -The ammunition capacity for special weapons was too low, and the drop rate on the ammunition was too high. I felt like it could've easily been doubled and the drop rate halved. Many times I felt so wasteful leaving fusion rifle ammo on the ground that i'd just use my Nox Revus III for a while when it was less suited to the situation than my trusty Scout Rifle. -I felt like 4 rockets was also too small a number, several times I pulled out my rocket launcher and shot vandals just because I couldn't (in all good consciousness) leave a rocket or two on the ground. -Pulse Rifles were awful. The kick was ridiculous. It was better in literally every situation to just burst fire with an auto rifle. -Handcannons were even worse. I don't think I saw anyone use them seriously. The damage per second on handcannons was TERRIBLE, combined with an awful reload frequency AND speed AND accuracy AND range, they were not even a viable choice of weapon, in either PvP or PvE. They were basically an all-around inferior version of Scout Rifles...and trust me, I [i]REALLY[/i] wanted to like them. -Shotguns could use a miiiiinor increase to effective range. There were very few situations wherein a fusion rifle was not preferable to a shotgun. -The 'stop the target from reaching the checkpoints' events were nearly impossible. The enemies would sit around the spawn for a short while, and then just sprint off into the distance, leaving you with more time chasing than shooting, and would be gone before any lone player could even get bronze tier in many situations. -The spider tank legs shouldn't take LESS damage once they've been damaged, this almost felt like a bug, given that it was exactly half. [b]PVP[/b] [u]PROS[/u] -It was fun. Seriously fun. I loved every minute of it. I even enjoyed getting assblasted with nova bomb. The game felt solid, well made, and responsive. -The special ammo was common enough that if you wanted to go out of your way to get it, it would be there, but it was appropriately out of the way to acquire. -The heavy ammo system was WONDERFUL. I love the sharing system, and I like the spawn being announced to the combatants. -It rewarded skill without being too 'streaky'. The match was constantly being shaken up by supers and ammo/vehicle drops. I like that. -Snipers felt well balanced, a rare feat to be honest. -Fusion rifles were fun weapons that were just as good as the individual holding them. They were OP in the right hands, but the right hands were rare. If you sucked, your fusion rifle wasn't gonna kill anyone. Kudos for high skill ceilings, high skill ceilings are good. -The available gametype was a fun, unique spin on control gametypes, and I ESPECIALLY enjoyed Iron Banner. I played so much that I ended up with the legendary ship, and had to buy myself the long flowing cloak from Saladin. -The maps in general were just well made. The lines of sight were as good as I've come to expect from Bungie multiplayer, and the spawning system was nearly flawless... [i]especially[/i] when compared to some other recent titles *heavy intentional coughing* [u]CONS[/u] (mostly balancing issues) -Scout Rifles felt extremely underwhelming at close-medium range, making them largely useful only at ranges where a sniper rifle would be viable. The DPS was just too low to keep up with autorifles, which were generally not overpowered, it felt more like everything else was UNDERpowered. -As in PvE, handcannons were absolutely useless and Pulse Rifles kicked too much. I saw 1 handcannon throughout the entire Beta in the crucible. I also saw a few brave guardians with pulse rifles, but the vast majority using them got thoroughly stomped. -Shotguns could use a boost to range, in most cases they did less than 20% of hp at as little as 8-10 feet of distance. -Golden Gun was by far the worst super in PvP. The likelihood of only getting one kill with it before it timed out, or getting killed while it was active, was extremely high... whereas the nova bomb and the hulk smash were guaranteed kills or even multikills in many situations. I would like to see the activation animation take less time on Golden Gun. The other supers have activation, and then simultaneous aiming and destruction, Golden Gun takes activation, THEN the aiming, and THEN the killing. Having tried nova bomb in PvP I can say this with absolute confidence. (not to mention that hunters have a relatively long super recovery time) -I felt like it was too easy to be sniped out of a Pike, particularly from the side. [b]Little additions I would've like to have seen:[/b] - I don't believe that strength, intellect, or discipline should have hard caps. I think that the soft caps are enough. If you manage, somehow, to collect a strength gear set for your hunter, by God you should be able to throw a knife every 5 seconds. If perhaps that is too much, I think the cap should be increased a bit. I managed to exceed that cap for my Hunter's discipline at level 8 whilst still wearing white quality gloves. -The weapons/armor vendors in the tower sold junk, and I mean seriously junky junk. Perhaps they should be more like a gamble, where you pay them and receive any random weapon/armor piece, as though you had just gotten a drop in the wild. The cost should be appropriate, of course. -I would like for 'green' engrams to always be 'green' items, likewise for 'blue', 'purple', and 'yellow'. In addition, I think blue AND purple items should be discoverable from level 1, there's no sense in delaying the joy of finding a high quality fusion rifle until level 10. If a level 1 legendary is acquired, what's the harm? You have an excellent weapon for a few levels and then it's gone. DON'T STOMP ON MY DREAMS BUNGIE... (I'm fond of them) -I also felt like there was room for more types of weapons, perhaps in future expansions? Some examples... Primary: "sentinel beam" like laser weapons Special: slug shotguns Heavy: railguns ...anyway, I think that's it for now. I could've written a 20 pager for you, but I should stop before I hurt myself. [b]EDIT: Wow, I just came back to check this, thank you for all the replies! I'm going to start reading through them and responding to a few I suppose. Discussion is the key to progress, after all. Ideas from other posts:[/b] -A map for explore mode (Pretty much everyone). I agree that this would be extremely helpful. I had far too much trouble finding The Rocketyard. - Item enchantments (Chino Gaming). This would be nice. Some method of applying additional hardware to a white item in order to transform it into a green item, or even further beyond that, such as 'reforging' a green item to have different properties. -Aiming down sights shouldn't immediately cancel airborne momentum (Schattenjäger). This was particularly a problem on the Venus crucible map. If you attempted to jump towards the island next to 'B', and tried to shoot while still in midair, you would fall to your death. This made the happy little island a deathtrap. -Vehicle Hijacking (Unholy Abyss). This would help, I'm not sure if this is the solution, but it's a start. I understand that this may be impossible at this point in development. -Warlock's bonds seem underwhelming, and almost unnoticeable (JUNEBUG5050). This may be due to the low level as well, but Ideally I'd hope they'd be something you could actually show off. Currently, I'm almost certain that nobody save the Warlock in question would notice their bond. A solution might be as simple as some minor particle effects.

                            • the 2 days I went exploring. Lots of dead ends. Lots of Enemies that are level "??" and immune to all of my weapons. But that doesn't stop the exploration. However the exploration is often distracted by strikes! I soon found myself doing the mini missions. I was puttin in serious game time. I was on Destiny, or I was at work. I even almost cancelled my weekly poker game, which I host at my house! Everything was going great! Best of all, I had a miraculous 3 days off coming up. That is when I got blind-sided by the update. The first 2 of my days off- there was NO DESTINY. I was sick. Disgusted. I couldn't believe it. Boys and girls, Ladies and Gentlemen: You want to know how you can tell you REALLY REALLY LIKE A GAME? Once the game went down, I really really actually didn't want to play ANY OTHER GAME. Just none. I really wasn't feeling my PS3. AT ALL. I couldn't play Destiny, so I just didn't want to play anything. I spent 2 days catching up on missed shows, and spent some desperately needed quality time with my fiance. Many of the conversations were about.... That's right! Destiny. And praise Bungie for finishing the update early. Talk about withdrawals! After the Update, I notices the sharks had much better detail. I also noticed a few places had been blocked off that I could have sworn I was going to explore. I also noticed that the 9 second void pushed you back toward inbounds a bit more forcefully. I also noticed that my patented roof-top area for killing the devil walker spider looking thing had been a bit re-arranged. The solar panels I hide behind were moved over a bit. But still usable. I also kind of noticed there was all of a sudden a kind of "ceiling" on your high jumps now. But, being the gamer I am, I had switched to hunter, so attaining higher places is much harder as a hunter than a warlock. I also noticed a bit late that you can literally walk through people at the tower. I soon became readily aware that Saturday at 2pm was the cry to all gamers to unite, similar to the movie hackers when everybody tried hard to crash the system near the end of the movie. However, i got shafted at work, and my request to leave early was decimated by a co-worker showing up late that day. In retrospect, I should have just called in sick, because I entirely missed the moon. Angry, I rushed home, too late, and found a fellow gamer that I knew did NOT miss it. He informed me that not everything is lost, because Iron Tree was up for like 9 hours straight, and there was still a good 7 of it I could hit up. This momentarily appeased me, and I voluntarily missed the last hour to venture off to a friend's poker game. I slept in after, went to work, came home, and Destiny Beta WAS OVER. Yep, OVER. Here is what I can tell you. I am considering asking for time off specifically because this game will be released. I am spending a lot of time with my fiance, right now, before the game drops. I am also impressed with the ability to make an alliance between clans. Impressed with the tracking of stats and such on this website. I believe this will be game of the year hands down. It is definitely one of the prettiest. I could watch bad guys dissolve in to nothing all day. But, I do wish there was an ability to share PvP highlights. This is a cornerstone of any great shooter. I also think melee death from overhead should be more difficult, it's like a cheap shot and a sucker punch all in one, and far too many people are getting a generous melee death from it. I also think a knife shot that is not a head shot should hurt just a little more than it does. I am anxious to see how the weapons parts come into play. I also noticed the weapon screen did not look like it did in the preview videos. I am curious to see weapons that improve intellect and such. I can't wait to pick up a legendary weapon or wear some legendary armor. Or even something rare, and actually use it. I am curious about the faster sparrow we are supposed to get for pre-order. I am anxious to finish the PvE, and to see what happens at the next level as far as specials and so forth. I wish I had logged more hours to finish off all level 8 powers. I like how there are three kinds of character, and you get 3 character slots! And i am very hopeful that there are more PvP events besides domination!! I hope you have enjoyed my feedback, and i am always down for answering questions. Any glitch specifics, or even the problem of getting kicked during PvP which happened a bit too often for some of my friends' liking. Thanks for reading
