The Dad's Of Destiny
Evening all, I thought I'd start this thread up for all of us out there who are dad's looking at this awesome looking game coming on the horizon, and asking ourselves "how on earth are we going to get the time to play this awesome game!?"
I'm a reasonably new father with a little girl who is my everything. Before she came into this world I found myself with a reasonable amount of time to game if I wanted to but now she's my no.1 objective.
I found a little bit of time to play the alpha, and absolutely loved it but it soon dawned on me how much of a time sink it could become lol.
So my question to you, the dad's of destiny, how will you be managing your time between dirty nappies, mealtimes, crying fits, and all the beautiful things we have to do as being a father, and a good partner to your girlfriends, fiancées, and wives? And not forgetting jobs too lol
I work nights so I'm a bit of a night owl so on my days off I can grip some play late at night whilst my daughter sleeps with the possibility of a few hours when my partner is at home too. Really looking forward to the beta, and even more so for the full game!

Dad of two myself so it would be nice to play with other dad's as they are actually mature. Well except for the jokes and ball busting every once in a while but that's the fun in the game. I don't have a mic yet I'm buying one in two weeks. Usually on 4 pm mountain time. Add me psn billy_the_wolf

2 RepliesHey guys, I'm a dad of 2. A girl and a boy. They are 6 and 4 respectively. I am 35 live in the US and have been married for almost 10 years. I work in sales so my time is limited, but I really enjoyed the Destiny Beta. I was completely blown away. I mostly play on Tuesdays because it is my day off and I have the house to myself. Aside from Tuesdays I'll play at night after everyone else goes to bed. I really think this, The Dads of Destiny, was a great idea. It's nice to know a community of mature gamers exists with real jobs and real responsibilities.

It's Murphy's Comsat Avengers (book reference there, extra credit if you know it). Join there if you have trouble with the caps... same kind of people (Dads) same kind of play (awesome).

Im Mercer196 on 360, im 23 and am a new father to a 3 month old daughter. I work days in construction, but I plan on putting as much time as I can into destiny and would love to have as many like minded people to play with

Hi 43 year old 2 teenage kids who are just as excited to play destiny as myself. Played the Beta and was pleased to see most missions and Freeroam could be bite size which is perfect as I am sure I am not the only dad who finds it difficult to have extended gaming sessions. I work shifts so will be playing at all different times of the day so hope to see you all out there and together we all can become legend Will be playing on 360 and xbox 1 Gamertag Sinicorp.

Now my raids consists of walks to the park and a drive to the beach. I'm glad there's a clan out there for us dad's looking to make time for games and family. Looking forward to joining for Xbox one! I totally understand. This game is going to suck more time than PAC MAN ever did. I am right there with ya and run a business. My kids might even eat up some of my game experience. Maybe I'll send them out with my guardians to level my weapons haha. (Fishing skill in WOW was a form of punishment.) I am hoping to run into some casual players in the evenings who are laid back enough to be able deal with the fact that my kids homework or the weekend Campout is > over Destiny but still seek after end game content leaving the F Bomb out of it. Only 5 more days now!!!

33yr old dad of 3, husband for nearly 10. Don't watch sports, can't stand most television. I game when I can, when the kids nap on weekends and when they go to bed at night 7:30ish. Started to break the 4 and 6yr old into games with Kinect sports rivals. They're hooked.

[ps3/ps4 clan] Sonz of Hades. We are a clan of adults only. If you are mature and don't have a squeeky voice and can pass of as an adult we won't discriminate. We basically just don't want any squeeky whiny little kids. Other than that, we are semi serious gamers, not super hardcore because we all work or go to school. But, we play daily and get down with it. NO RACISM, adults only, and mics only. Ohter than that, no rigid dorky rules, just have fun and bring your A game. Only way you would get kicked from the clan is if you were just absolutely horrible and don't seem to be making any progress.
