Anyone suggest what the minimum broadband speeds are required to play Destiny? I have a 5 Mbit/s incoming/1 Mbit/s outgoing connection, and I am worried that this may not be enough.
Given this specification, could Destiny be expected to work with such connection speeds?
Thanks in advance.

This is several years old bit it's still at the top of the page.. All that is required is .75 for a steady connection. 5 mbps is plenty!

Old news, but i think about it's 9MB (9000 KBPS). 1-3MB speed alright for email. 6MB speed good for lowres youtube videos. 9MB speed great for watching PS Vue & 720/1080 videos (TrueHD 1080i & 1080p might lag a bit)

Just make sure that no one is taking up the bandwidth while you are playing other than that destiny will run smooth

5mb is plenty, just make sure your connected by ether net cable directly from the modem. A router will slow your speed.

only 2.4mbps download and 931.9kbs upload .... and always lagging

I'm on 1.6mb at the minute, not feeling hopeful for tonight...

I've got 55mbps download, but I used to have 7mbps and Internet ran great for gaming back then too. Only really difference is when you're downloading updates and such, but performance-wise, games aren't very demanding.

You are fine, it's ping you need to worry about.

No, no, no, no, no. I have the lowest grade DSL known to mankind.

Edited by Todstelzer: 6/20/2014 5:20:11 PMI think 0,1mbit is enough to play it and to run ts3. But it's not recommend for patches :D

I've also got 5Mbit/s and the alpha worked all fine ;)

Download/upload speeds are very overrated when it comes to performance. Just make sure your hardware is working, you don't have a lot of demands on your network while you play, and have a quality provider. And don't go wireless.

I'm sure you'll be fine.

I know people who that worked well enough for in the Alpha.
