    One could argue that feminism existed since Joan of Ark. Or the Classical Greece period. What I am saying is: Feminism that we know today is a result of the feminist movement born in the 1960's. I don't deny that ideas and thoughts exactly like feminism can be found all throughout history, but it wasn't significant or a major influence until the 1960's. Feminist ideas used today are most related to the movement that sprung during the 1960's.
