I like it, enough of this straight line drag racing bullshit, I want an American Sports Car that'll go around a track with Europeon and Japanese equivalents. Independent Rear Suspension is just the beginning, I also want AWD on higher end models.

>AWD Why do people act like they're scared of a hi-po RWD performance car? All AWD does is add weight, cost, and understeer.

And give massive amounts of grip, WRX STIs have it, GTRs have it, RS5s have it, Ferrari FFs have it, Porsche 911 Turbos have it and even the Lamborghini Aventador uses it. It's time to follow suit if the Mustang is to be anything more than a drag car, it doesn't have to be on all models, I'd say just the ones with 500+ HP would benefit.

Edited by One Epic Phail: 5/31/2014 7:38:37 PMI'd say listing million dollar supercars along side of the one manufacturer that people can actually afford isn't much of an argument. AWD doesn't grip harder, it just doesn't let your back slide around, and that's why I brought up the understeer comment. Even the STI will understeer when pushed, and the other cars you listed will still oversteer but they also cost roughly a million dollars to buy. Aside from the GTR which is obviously the exception, but it's still a 100K car. I'd say roughly 95% of motorsport uses RWD, and for good reason. You can easily handle 500+ HP in a RWD layout as long as you're respecting the car and not trying to drive like you're Randy Pobst. also lol @ the drag racing bit, AWD with equivalent power to a RWD counterpart is always going to win on a drag strip.

There's not a car on that list that costs a million dollars, the STI, GTR, and RS5 are all under 100K, the 911 Turbo is between 120K and 160K depending on how you spec it. Even the Advendator and FF are below 500K. And just as RWD is manageable, AWD(hell, even FWD) won't understeer if you respect the limits of Physics and aren't driving like Ken Block.

Thank you! Too many people are stuck and the past and don't want the mustang to move on.
