Roleplaying in Destiny.

Roleplaying in videogames can be as simple as using military terminology while playing a first person shooter, to complex as fully fleshing out your character and interacting with the world and it's inhabitants as if you were truly there. Roleplaying is often found in online games where the world is always persistant, such as World of Warcradt or Runescape. Roleplaying videogames is done to bring more immersion to the world you're playing in. To add a unique feel to perhaps normal actions in game. To make the world more believable so that the experiences you have are even better. It can even add much more challenge to the game. In most roleplay, there is an accepted rule of 'dead is dead'. If a character dies, they stay dead. If you're adventuring with a group of friends, it can be a hectic and harrowing experience to rescue a downed teammate while under fire. Likewise, it makes you much more cautious when playing the game. Instead of thinking "If I die, ah well I'll respawn nearby!" You're now forces to think as your character would. "There's 40 of them...1 of me, maybe I shouldn't go in there." Lastly, while roleplaying with an area of people that are doing so as well, you don't need to worry about being nice or mean, you need to worry about staying in character. If you like to be an asshole like a character, no one will get mad at YOU! They'll get mad at your character. Who else is planning on roleplaying in Destiny and doing all they can to get the most out of the game world?
