Lets talk Bethesda games....

Fallout 4

93

Elder Scrolls 6

41

As many of you may know there have been many rumors about Fallout 4 and Elder Scrolls 6. So I am wondering what do you the fans want to come out first. Fallout 4 or Elder Scrolls 6? Personally I want a new Fallout. Now before you go saying things like "Why Skyrim was awesome, make another Elder Scrolls game" let me explain to you my reasons. 1) A Fallout hasn't been made since 2010 (2008 if you don't count New Vegas since it wasn't made by Bethesda) 2) Bethesda's last game was Skyrim it would only make sense to do a Fallout game next so Elder scroll doesn't get boring. 3) Fans have been teased, lied to, and not told anything about the next Fallout. After all the hoaxes our faith in a new Fallout is dwindling. A nice little thirty second teaser trailer for Fallout 4 would be nice or for Elder Scrolls 6. NOTE: Fallout 4 and Elder Scrolls 6 might not be the official names for the upcoming Elder Scrolls game or Fallout game. After voting please explain why you want one or the other to come out first.

  • Fallout 3 was fun, NV felt like more of the same. I honestly wouldn't care if they made a new one simply because of what they have done to interplay in the last few years. ESO is a travesty and shouldnt be counted towards the Edler Scrolls series, Just give me a new entry in the real series and let me have my fun.

    • Considering in 2011 we got Skyrim and this year we're getting The Elder Scrolls: Online I think the Fallout fans deserve some love. I've been patiently waiting ever since 2010 for one of my favorite franchises of all time to return. I don't really even play The Elder Scrolls. .-.

      • I personally don't have a ton of hope for Elder Scrolls, they haven't set themselves up very well for longevity as a series. While I prefer the general idea of a fantasy based setting over a apocalyptic future setting, I think Fallout is better positioned in terms of longevity and so I'd be curious to see where they end up taking the series, hopefully in a direction that is more ambitious from a gameplay standpoint.

Fallout 4!!!!! Because they have/had like 4 new Franchises since they released Fallout 3. Dishonored, wich was good! Brink, we all know how that turned out. The Evil within or something like that. And Wolfenstein wich also looks promising. So i would say Fallout 4 should atleast be announced before TES 6.

            • Fallout 4 first. It will show me what game engine they plan to use for Skyrim and it's better be 64 bit enabled.

Wait what does eveyone mean by "it's Fallout's turn"? Wasn't the release order like this: TES: Arena, TES II: Daggerfall, Fallout 1, Fallout 2, TES III: Morrowind, TES IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, TES V: Skyrim? If you're following that pattern, then the next game should be TES (not including TESO). Unless you're talking the ones only DEVELOPED by Bethesda...? In which case it's Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Skyrim? If your following that order, then the next game could be anything, because there's no pattern there. :P
Not trying to argue. Just interested.
• Skyrim is my favourite RPG ever, so I prefer TES over Fallout, which also has a depressing setting. However, ever since seeing Oblivion at the cinema, I've wanted to try Fallout again, and, unless F3 or indeed New Vegas are a Game with Gold at any point, I'm willing to wait until 4, presumably only a few years away.

                • I like the setting in fallout more, but they would both be great games. I really hope they come out with Fallout first.

                • I'm hoping we don't have to wait too much longer for the new Fallout. Let's see Skyrim released in 2011 and Fallout 3 in 2008 which is a 4 year difference. It's already been a little over 2 years since Skyrim's release so we should be hearing something about Fallout 4 sometime next year I'd say.

                • I liked TES before, but as the game progresses further and further it becomes more apparent to me how clunky its melee combat (or even in general) is. I've logged tons of time into Oblivion and Skyrim but at its core, I gotta say the melee is pretty poor. Mid to late game everything devolves into a battle between tanked up damage sponges. It becomes much less exciting at that point. Fallout's reboot as an FPS however, I feel has turned out pretty well. Weapons feel different enough to warrant using. Damage dealt by me and my enemies always feels significant. Leveling doesn't just increase my stat numbers; the perks are different enough to allow very different approaches to gameplay. Any problems I had with it tended to be on the technical side. Crashes, load-screen loops, corrupt data, irregular enemy movement, etc. Those however, are all things that can be fixed. It just seems to me like Fallout's flaws are less fundamental than TES's. I think it's a bit easier to improve the technical side, than to reimagine combat from the ground up. For that reason I don't see any more TES games going anywhere terribly interesting. I'm much more curious to see what they'd do with a Fallout sequel.

My post disappeared... Fallout should be next since it's its turn. That said I am completely uninterested in the fallout series. I like to deviate away from shooting things so I play games like TES. Also zombie games and post apocalyptic scenarios seem so overdone/stale/cliche to me. I try to think of destiny as more fantasy than post apocalyptic.

                  • I'd much rather have TES VI. I never got into Fallout at all, even after playing it for long times. Elder Scrolls is just better in my opinion.

                  • I would say both equally. I enjoy both franchises quite a bit and would be happy with either.
