I think the best option to keep the fans happy would be to release it on XBLA and crank the internal resolution to 1920x1080. Saves them time, saves nostalgia crazy fans from fuming and it saves both money. Also, if you don't want it to be put into 1920x1080, your rose tinted goggles are so think that it has to be hurting your nose from the weight. Kicking the resolution up would do nothing physically to the game and yes, you'd be able to tell a difference in graphics. A [i]good[/i] difference. If you're still not convinced, go buy an old 4:3 CRT television.
