Cheese-filled alliteration aside, we're obviously paying close attention to the Forge-based shenanigans that have been transpiring on the Internet and in the interest of trying to herd the cats of creation into a single file line, please post your best Forge Variants here, with well-written and descriptive depictions of your map. Paint with your words, like you've painted on Foundry's canvas. I've cross-posted text from another Forge/Gametypes thread here on the Forums. Do apply the format to Foundry specifically and go to town. We're watching, anxious to see your creations. Weapon sets have been made close to identical on both sides of Snowbound in an attempt to remove the tendency of players to crouch camp underneath. This map is ideal for 2-10 players. [/b] [i]How to make these posts. 1. Create a gametype and map variant, upload these to your File Share. 2. Publish the Gametype and Map variants to the forums, save the links to those threads. 3. Create post in this thread, and link to the Map variant and Gametype at the Publish to Forums link here [this way players can easily click those links and download your gametypes. 4. Create a well-written explanation of changes made to the map and if necessary a description of the gametype you've created, including ideal number of players, number of teams (if necessary) and any other relevant information. Front closing door, balcony with double closing doors, staircase in main room, barrier railings with snipers on second floor, one room for second floor with hidden flamethrower and drop down to first floor, hallway that wraps around from one side to the other on the first floor (goes from one room under stairs to other) hidden spartan lasers above second floor, hidden grav hammer from balcony along with rockets. Every equipment placed. Brute shots in hallway, sentinal beams on second floor with maulers, smgs on first floor, br on staircase, shotties on balcony. Turret at top of staircase, and one outside.   • Sevent7h Column http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=23013679 A map based around the Seven7h Column Structure. The structrure is in the middle of the map, where the flags/bombs well be placed at. Weapons surround the structure. Along with the sword in the middle of it. Teams spawn in the back of the map, where they can make there way to the middle. The map has a resemblance of an old factory as well (forklifts, boxes, crates etc.) Great for Slayer! It involves a pair of simple switches, and some fun height-based gameplay. It's excellent for Free-For-All or Team matches. Right now, It's set up for Slayer and King, but I'll post an all-gametypes version later. Also- This may be a competivtive map, but it is /NOT/ MLG-style.   • I made a map of highground called ONSLAUGHT it is in my fileshare it is a map made for vip multictf and big team games. It has wraith and scorpion.   • ok if you like or love grif ball this is the game and map for you, the game is called BUN6IE BALL and it is a game like grif ball!!!!, so the only changes are the wepons and the map, the changes in the wepons are that you start with a BR and SHOTGUN, well i hear u now "no shotguns people will just spawn kill" not true spawn killing in this new map is much harder to do... so with that being said... the map is a very large - medium size dome, each side has a bomb plant box and a short barrier to hide be hind, the bases... like grif ball are A and B also yellow (A) and red (B). this game is alot of fun and can be played with 4 to 8 players total. here is the link to the [url=http://www.bungie.net/forums/posts.aspx?h3fileid=41765056] map [/url] and the [url=http://www.bungie.net/forums/posts.aspx?h3fileid=41765043] game [/url] also an additional[url=http://www.bungie.net/stats/halo3/screenshot_viewer_popup.aspx?fs=true&ssid=42027340] screenshot [/url] to show you how the game looks in a 4 on 4 clan battle. message me if you like the game and map... i have a group called the bun6ie ball players and we are a big group that gets togeather to play bun6ie ball.

  • --Castle CTF-- Map: [url=http://www.bungie.net/forums/posts.aspx?h3fileid=42295427]Castle CTF Map[/url] Game Variant: [url=http://www.bungie.net/forums/posts.aspx?h3fileid=42295439]Castle CTF Game Type[/url] Castle CTF is game on Narrows with two castle bases and apropriate weapons to avoid infiltration. The aim is to get to the enemies base and take the flag and deliver it to your base. This works well with around 6-16 Players but could flow fine with 3v3 or 2v2 2 Teams of Blue and Red. Enjoy

  • [url=http://www.bungie.net/forums/posts.aspx?h3fileid=42115289]Multijail.[/url] Enabled for ALL gametypes, it has 2 bases, not even but made to be fair. One Starts near power weapon cashes and ghosts, one with power weapons. Teleporters lead out of the bases. Great for infection, has it's own gametypes coming soon. Camping rooms are not enabled for camping at start, but boot up in the game. Instant respawning nades and powerups are usefull, but have a buddy help you out of the overshield and invisabilty rooms. I have merged doors with walls at the four doorways to make unclosable, real looking, doors. Also, multi-bomb games become very intresting because there is alot of bombs, with one starting in each room. Infection can be fast pased or slow pased. The humans must grab power weapons and run, because the zombies will be in this roofless base soon. Also, Team games can be fun if you know how to defend and attack. Juggernaut is great here because it's easy to splater him, so he isn't as unstopable. Even 1on1 games work here, but so do 16 man games. Each game will be played diffrently each game by each player. There are also many hidden vehicles to be used to turn the tide of war. (this is my 3rd Version, so it plays MUCH better than my first ones.) The damage resistance and shield re-charge rate is at 90%. The damage and speed modifiers are at 110%. The starting weapons are BR and Magnum. (I prefer this gametype over my Elephant Bomb V1.) [url=http://www.bungie.net/forums/posts.aspx?h3fileid=41722500]Elephant Bomb[/url]- This is the standard Elephant Bomb Gametype. Player speed is at 110%. Starting weapon is the AR. ________________________________________________________________________ [url=http://www.bungie.net/forums/posts.aspx?h3fileid=42135281]Airground- A re-imagination of High Ground.[/url]- This is similar to High Ground, but with a few extra gimmicks. The Beach Side gets a Warthog in asymmetric games, and instead of BRs, the Beach Side gets Carbines. The Base Side has some Trip Mines and a Flamethrower all the way in the back room. The Base Side also has BRs instead of Carbines, but I did leave one Carbine in the Base Side. Airground is best suited for one-sided for one-sided, asymmetric gametypes. (I.E. One Flag, One Bomb, etc.) ______________________________________________________________________ [url=http://www.bungie.net/forums/posts.aspx?h3fileid=33792707]BR Circle[/url]- This is a very simple, yet tranquil map. There are 8 spawn points in a circle with a traffic cone in the middle. I made it to see who has the best BR skills. It is meant to be played with [url=http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=22596519]This.[/url] Every player has full overshields, but if you don't like that you can change it. The starting weapon is the BR with unlimited ammo. There are no starting grenades. 25 kills to win, but it is recommended to set the kill limit lower.

  • [url=http://www.bungie.net/forums/posts.aspx?h3fileid=41981968]Minilation![/url]--is an almost duplicate of the map Desolation from Halo 2 at a slightly smaller scale. If you are familiar with Desolation, you will quickly familiarize yourself with Minilation's layout. There are a few miniscule changes that I made due to the size of Foundry. For those unfamiliar with Desolation, this map is best described as a completely symmetrical four corners map. The inclining enclosed tunnels on opposing ends is a major highlight to this map. One tunnel contains the shotgun (like Desolation) and the other contains the sniper rifle. This will be crowded fighting grounds. Respawn points are equally distanced to enable both teams to fairly reach the power weapons. The octogonal shape was slightly modified but a second level ring around the map plays very similair to Desolation. The center of the map at ground level contains the rocket launcher and directly above, to the second level, holds the energy sword. Four pillars on the second level offer minimal but necessary coverage. Branching in four directions, from the center of the second platform, are bridges to the outer ring that allow you access to the "four corners" of the map. If spawned at ground level, the tunnels are one of the two ways to dangerously access the second level of the map. Just like Desolation, two gravlifts on opposong sides will jump you to the second level quickly but it leaves you helplessly exposed. Due to this problem, one gravlift sends you right into activecamo that is recessed into the wall...as the other lift sends you into the overshield. Both items are crucial considering there are four power weapons on the map. The respawn time for the power weapons are considerably increased. Although this map would work great for CTF, this particular map was designed for 2v2 and 4v4 Slayer or SWAT. It also works great for 8 players as a Lone Wolves game type.   • I made up a map the other day that is called dead hospital and is on high ground. Inside of the base at the top of high ground there is a place that looks like a hospital. Some of the people on the map appear in there while others appear in a base on the beach. The people on the beach have two warthogs and they are supposed to evacuate the inhabitantes of the hospital before the ZOMBIES get into the hospital. That's right. This map was made for a special infection type named Evacuation. The zombies are very slow moving but do instant kill damage. Every intrance to the hospital is blocked off and there is only one intrance you can get through. The people inside of the hospital don't have good guns and they are goners unless the people on the beach get them out of the hospital. The only problem is that the spawn points aren't working right and i can't understand why not but i'll try to look at it and see what's wrong with the spawn points and put this map and game-type on my fileshare. But i have one question. When you put down infection spawn points, zombies are attackers and humans are defenders right?

  • Hello here is my map. [url=http://www.bungie.net/forums/posts.aspx?h3fileid=26820562]Construction[/url] It's a 2-3 team 8-12 players, semi-symmetrical map. Made in Foundry. Compatible with all maps. The defenders [url=http://www.bungie.net/stats/halo3/screenshot_viewer_popup.aspx?ssid=41857946]base[/url] has two mongeese and one warthog. The attackers [url=http://www.bungie.net/stats/halo3/screenshot_viewer_popup.aspx?gamertag=DARKWIND12&ssid=41857945]base[/url] has a mongoose and a sniper. Inside the two main bases are - 1 battle rifle, smg, and spiker. The third team [url=http://www.bungie.net/stats/halo3/screenshot_viewer_popup.aspx?gamertag=DARKWIND12&ssid=41857997]base[/url] does not have as many things in it though used correctly it can be good. Weapons in third base - battle rifle, 1 spike grenade, and a regenerater. Between the defender's base and third team there is a [url=http://www.bungie.net/stats/halo3/screenshot_viewer_popup.aspx?gamertag=DARKWIND12&ssid=41858021]house[/url] which can be very usefull in many gametypes. Weapons in it are - (on bottom) 2 frag grenades, a magnum, and a plasma rifle, (on 2nd floor) brute shot, and machine gun turret. In the corner of the map with no base in it, there is a [url=http://www.bungie.net/stats/halo3/screenshot_viewer_popup.aspx?gamertag=DARKWIND12&ssid=41858044]truck[/url] that is not only for looks. There is a special explosive supprise inside. In the center of the map there is a large structure on the [url=http://www.bungie.net/stats/halo3/screenshot_viewer_popup.aspx?gamertag=DARKWIND12&ssid=41858068]top of it[/url]. On it there are 2 plasma grenades. On the [url=http://www.bungie.net/stats/halo3/screenshot_viewer_popup.aspx?gamertag=DARKWIND12&ssid=41858136]bottom[/url] there are two gravity lifts so you can get to the top floor. The weapons on the bottom are a spiker and a shot gun. Scattered around the map are other weapons and drops including. Another battle rifle. 1 spike grenade. Trip Mine. Bubble Shield. Deployable Cover. Radar Jammer. I'm almost positive that that is everything. If I forgot anything I'm sorry. P.S. My latest creation, Crescent, is a small asymmetrical map, designed for 2-6 player carnage. It combines different elevations, with unique cover for intense gameplay (or at least i hope it does =P). It also includes my first attempt at implementing a switch, it is a simple one, but it work. The Layout: The layout revolves around 2 main rooms, connected by hallways and a large archway. the largest room has three columns running down the centre, in the central column lays the active camo, which is surrounded by window panels. At one end is a curved alcove-like area, where a fuel rod cannon will spawn after 120 seconds, on the closest column to this area is the flag spawn/return point for the attackers in flag games. From here, there are two ways you can get into the second room, or "switch room". One is to go through the tunnel, which opens out into the room and also continues on around the corner to the base of the ramp. And the second is to go through the main "archway" situated at the opposite end of the big room to the attackers spawns. this is the main point of entry because of it's size, on the box beneath the arch is where the pair of spikers spawn, and nearby is a pair of plasma grenades. In the small room (or switch room) there is a large wall, with a ramp coming out of it at one end. Interlocked with the ramp is a mancannon, which propels you up onto some raised platforms that are coming out of the main wall. this is where the defenders flag is situated, and also where you activate the switch. in the centre of that room is the needler spawn, and the main starting spawns for the defenders. that is a very basic outline of the layout, i have only included major strutures in it though. [b]The Switch:[/b] The switch is very simple compared to most switches, but since it's my first ever switch it was always going to be quite simple. What it does: the switch simply throws a beam rifle (which initially spawns on the roof) on to an easily accessible weapon holder (told you it was simple) how to activate it: 1. check to see if the beam rifle has spawned (spawns every 120 seconds) 2. pick up the custom power-up situated on the raised platforms nearby 3. wait for fusion coils to do their work, it will eventually destroy a grav lift inside the box just above the beam rifle. this will release the rifle. 4. the beam rifle should* fly onto the nearby weapon holder, which will catch it so that you may pick it up. *the switch has been known to fail slightly, but only to the point that the rifle lands a couple of feet away from the weapon holder, but it is rare, and in gameplay you will not notice. A huge amount of thanks goes to Furious D 18 for allowing me to use his exacted build canvas, which saved me a huge amount of time because i used the big curved platform at one end of the map. everything else i forged myself. there are a lot of new unique features, which i have attempted to explain in my forgehub post (link at top) [b]Kashmir Highlands[/b] Link To Download - [url=http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=20792295]Here[/url] Link To CTF Variant - [url=http://www.bungie.net/forums/posts.aspx?h3fileid=33697561]Here[/url] Recommended Party Size - 2v2 or 2-5 player FFA Supported Gametypes - All Description: Kashmir Highlands is a small 2v2 or 5 player FFA map that incorporates lots of cover and different elevations to create a (hopefully) unique experience. the majority of the flooring is made using walls, much like gradient, but the amount and placement of movable objects means that spawns are safer and less predictable. the layout of the map is relatively squarish, but it is not symmetrical, each team has a base in opposite corners, which holds a plasma pistol and a spiker, in objective gametypes, flags, bombs etc spawn on the walls. this is all on top of boxes, the boxes continue to run out of the base along to the end of the map, on each side there is a plasma rifle, 1 spike grenade, 1 frag grenade and a BR, i tried to limit the amount of BR's and carbines on the map and focus more on dual wielding, because not many maps have a decent size or layout to allow the main weapons on the map to be duals, so i wanted to see if it would work here, and i think it did. in the centre of the map there is a line of double boxes which separate the two halves of the map, the mauler (most powerful weapon on map) is located at one end, and a power drain in the centre of the divide. there are four signs protruding from the central box to be used as cover and to cut off lines of sight. all the extra space is covered by walls placed so as to create a hill-like effect, the majority of weapons are placed on it, the same weapons are on both sides there is 2 smg's two spike 'nades a magnum and in the centre there is a needler and carbine. [b] Fractured[/b] Download V2 - [url=http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=20770498]Here[/url] Download Gametype - [url=http://www.bungie.net/forums/posts.aspx?h3fileid=30648040]Broken Lands[/url] Recommended Party Size: 2-5 players Inspiration: The inspiration for this map came from two previous (great) maps, one was Furious D 18's Unchained map, I liked how he managed to make a fair, enjoyable FFA map which could be used effectively on most gametypes. the second place where my inspiration came from was from Mallets Empire, i loved the rolling hills and i wanted to attempt them on a much smaller scale, both maps were very aesthetically beautiful, which i admired and have tried to replicate in all my maps. Description: Fractured is a small asymmetrical map designed for 5 player FFA or 2V2 Territories. the amount of interlocking on this map is huge, nearly every immovable object has been interlocked to create smoother gameplay and give the map a "wholesome" feel. The basic layout is: a hill in one corner with a tunnel connecting it to a small plateau-like area, on the hill there is a regenerator and two plasma rifles on a ledge which is jutting out of the hill. on the plateau is a BR across from the hill is a raised formation of boxes that create small elevated area much like a small mesa, on top of it is the fuel-rod cannon (90 sec respawn 0 spare clips) and there is two spike grenades leaning against it. Past this is the deep pit, it holds the shotgun and a lone spike grenade, there is three ways out of the pit, the stairs at each end, or jumping out, which is made difficult by the 2 fence walls sticking out of the higher ground which serve as partial cover, to the people up the top. Next to this is the shallow pit which is about one short barrier lower than the rest of the level, and has two small staircases leading down to it, this is mainly used as a safe spawning area but the needler and SMG'S are located within it. between the base of the hill and the shallow pit is a curved wall made out of double boxes, this was a real challenge (for me) to make but i think it looks quite good, leaning against it is a BR. To the right of the plateau is the "bridge-wall" which is just three bridges stacked on their sides with a carbine at the base. those are my best maps thus far, enjoy.

  • I have made a Multiflag map on the Pit called Hostility. Bases are in the buildings above. Snipers are in the building and turrets as well. Portable grav lift replaces camo, rocket is still in same place. Added Mongoose below each base, nd a teleporter that takes you up top. The only thing that needs to be fixed is the flag spawns, because they are reversed.   • Warehouse Dojo is a map that is compatible with all game plays. Depending on what type of game play you are into, will determine the strategy it will take to overcome the opposing team. There are many details that this forged map offers to make your game play alittle bit more intresting. Some games will take team coordination and timing to be able for your victory to prevail, others will take patience and map usage for the team to dominate. It will probably take a few games to get used to this map considering that there are many corridors you will run through, but even then, you will find yourself lost in it every once in a while ( once under pressure ). There are only a few weapons placed in this map, just enough to insure the defencive and offencive balance. You think slayer is fun! This map will defenitly get you playing games other than slayer. My personal favorite is Territories, Flag rally. For what ever your intrests are in gaming, i hope you find yourself enjoying this forged map. [b]You can get this map in my file share.
