You shouldn't nail your testicles to a brick in public.

So, let's go over why nailing your testicles to a brick is a bad idea. First of all, it means that you're stuck in one place for the duration of your protest. When protesting, you want to be able to move around so that your message can reach more people. If your testicles are nailed to a brick, your message is limited to the people crazy enough to get near you, and that's not very efficient.
Secondly, bricks are very hard to nail through, unless you have a nail gun. And since this guy was naked, I have to assume that he did not. So he either nailed through his testicles into solid brick, in which case he is insane, or he actually put the nail into a crack between the bricks, which would make him a bit of a pussy.
The moral of this story is that you shouldn't nail your testicles to a brick in public. It's not a good way to protest.

What we should be talking about though is why he did this: Russia's slow decent into a police state. Or at least, his perceived decent into a police state.
