a non life threatening situation.
without being there to witness this its hard to tell how "life threatening" it was. one girl against 10 guys doesnt seem that fair, and if they were really hostile then that could lead to a bigger problem

She was complacent enough to walk away, draw her gun, and fire into the air. I dont know many people that would fire a warning shot upwards, or a warning shot for that matter, its just bad gun etiquette. If she was going to fire a warning round, she should have fired it into dirt or earth. Still she could have informed them she had called the cops, and if they continued being aggressive, she could have told them she was armed. Being that her child was in danger, if they continued at that point, she could have defended her and her daughter.

if she was smart enough to fire it into the dirt she could have passed it off as a missed attempt to shoot the guy. Guess shes paying for not reading up on gun laws before owning and using one.
