Edited by Garadax: 10/29/2013 7:18:55 PMReach's multiplayer blew 4 out of the water, but I enjoyed 4's campaign mode more than Reach. Spartan Ops wasn't bad, but I do miss Legendary Firefight. Reach's Forge/Customs community was much better than 4's. Halo 3 still beats both.
-
Parts of Reach multi-player are better than 4 (ZB, Invasion, Customs). However, Halo 4 blows it out of the water in every other regard.
-
They both have their ups and downs.
-
Halo 4 is better. Reach has some better parts: Forge World, Theatre, music is hard to call. Reach had better playlist management, obviously.
-
Edited by Halo: 9/29/2013 4:34:02 AMOf course this site is going to say Reach is better when it's quite clearly less "Halo" of a game than Halo 4 is. The bias is so inherent and the dick is lodged so far up. Most of you were Reachtards from the start anyway.
-
halo reach is better. halo 4 ruined halo. now there's points instead of kills to win. I got 32 kills and lost to a guy with 18 kills. halo reach is 25 kills to win like all halos are supposed to be.
-
in my opinion halo 4 was better it had a more challenging campaign on legendary than reach did, the weapons were a lot better than reach but the multiplayer was not as fun as reach though
-
I think H4 is better overall, but it's pretty close.
-
Reach was great imo. Armour Lock was annoying, but it was just as annoying as the bubble shield in Halo 3. Overall, however, the gameplay changes kept me interested in the Halo series, and reminded me of the more slow gameplay of the original Halo (without actually being like it). I think I've managed to play 50 matches of Halo 4, overall. There's also no way in Hell I'm doing a Legendary run on that garbage Campaign (Reach's story was atrocious compared to the novels but the level design was much better). My sphincter is open. Bnet, pound me.

Edited by ZealotSG: 10/24/2013 7:23:20 AMThey're both meh but Reach has: -better Campaign encounters -larger environments -more threatening AI -unique AI (Field Marshal) -unique last level (Lone Wolf) -better Campaign features (scoring, Theater), easter eggs, and challenges
-
I wish they didn't take out Firefight. It's so much better than Spartan Ops.
-
Reach had a more coherent storyline, more multiplayer gametypes (headhunter, invasion), campaign scoring, campaign theater mode, firefight, online stat-tracking, and better graphics than Halo 4. Halo: Reach is in every way a superior game to Halo 4.
-
Reach sucks ass.
-
I don't know. Reach stopped me from playing Halo it was that bad. Halo 3's alright but it'd be miles better if it had ADS other than that it's an okay game. I never played Halo 4...
-
I like 4 a bit better.
-
Who doesn't like being elites and shooting people with the needle rifle

Edited by Oliver Queen: 10/22/2013 11:57:20 PMReach was way better then four. Reach actually had a story. It had custom games. Better forge. Better multiplayer even though I hate with a passion armor lock and active camo. I didn't mind bloom at all. Also the art design and music were better. I played reach up intil halo 4. I stopped playing halo 4 after the first two months
-
Reach is infinitely better, in every way, than Halol 4. Let's not forget: 3fail3 created a carbon copy of Halo 3 on their modified Reach engine, to see if they could do it. They play-tested it and scrapped the whole thing because they became convinced that they could create something better. They were wrong and failed abysmally.
-
Halo 4 destroyed Halo more than Reach did. So I'd say Reach is better, even though the game is average at best.
-
This doesn't even deserve to be a question. Reach is superior to Halo 4 in every way, the only thing that are even close are the multiplayer, everything else, Reach outclasses it by far. It has better music, better story, better characters, so many more options for things like custom games or multiplayer, wasn't stripped of key aspects of the game like theatre, Forge wasn't completely neutered.....list goes on and on. Halo 4 isn't even in the same league, Reach outclasses it by far. Loved Reach from the beginning, going to continue to enjoy it for as long as I'm gaming, I'd say it probably had the best multiplayer overall in the series, and with all of the features it had and all the options, it was definitely the best game overall and a great, high note for Bungie to end on.
-
Halo 4 makes Reach look like Halo: CE/2 tier.
-
Absolutely yes. In nearly every way.
-
-
I'm not a fan of either campaigns, but I love Reach's multiplayer. I played about 1500 games on Halo 4 and ended up switching back to Reach. I don't know why, but I enjoy it a lot more.
-
There both equally great but if I had to choose halo 4 for multiplayer and reach for campaign
-
Depends. Reach for multiplayer Halo 4 for campaign
