Of course they can have an auto-bolt option like most games, but I'd like to have the classic feel of a bolt-action rifle rather than just a rifle that fires slowly.
I'm a huge fan of snipers. No matter what FPS I play I am always in search of what the sniper/bolt action rifle I can use and have the most fun with! I'm talking about a variety of sniping, hot FPS's such as Battlefield, Call of Duty, Borderlands, Halo, etc., and even Buck Hunter at the Bowling Alley. You know what I'm talking about. Alas, the Call of Duty standpoint of snipers is completely arcade-like, although it's still fun, I don't plan to see that sort of thing [Quickscoping] in Destiny. ^ I state this to prevent confusion. But if anyone is on the same page I am: I want to see what you think. How are Snipers going to be in Destiny? How do you want them to be? The trailer at E3 showed us a side from the Warlock POV and at Gamescom I want to see a Hunter POV, most importantly with a Sniper. Will Sniping be a point based combat system such as in Borderlands? That's all fun, but should I be expecting a "One Shot, One Kill" approach to Snipers or a "Aim for the Head when you Have all of the Right Skills and a Great Gun in Order to get the big numbers"? I quote that in a playful way. So, what do you speculate?
