Any Hobby modelers on here? (I have a few questions)

Hey guys, I am about to start getting into modeling with a plastic tank model. I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions and could help me pick out of this list on which would be the easiest to start on. These will have to be painted so tips with that would be appreciated as well. I am picking from these models, price is not an issue on these. Keep in mind I don't have a tiger on here or panther because I would like to have a little experience before I tackle some of my top favorite tanks. • Raptor, Start with the last one, the Hetzer. it's simple and would be easy to assemble. the most important thing to remember is to be patient, take your time. one slip-up with, like with the glue, and it will show forever. like Ttasmmv said, clean all the parts thoroughly and make sure the mating edges are clean and smooth. dry-fit the parts to make sure the mating edges mate properly before you glue them. for paint I often use an airbrush as even the best brushes can leave brush marks, but that is personal preference. remember preparation is everything.

Hi Raptorx7, I'm an amateur hobby modeler too, and I find the larger models easier to make and paint than the smaller ones. The Hetzer Tank Destroyer looks the easiest out of those you've listed. You should wash the parts in warm, soapy water before painting to remove left-over oils/agents that would prevent the paint from adhering properly—and paint multiple thin coats, not one thick one! Weathering your plastic models makes them look genuine. There's plenty of resources on the internet you could look into that would be of great value. Best of luck! (:- )

Hmm, I don't know much about model tanks and what not, Gundams yes, but not tanks. The post difficult part is the painting process. The materials can get pretty expensive, and a crappy paint job will pretty much ruin it. As for the overall difficulty of assembling it, I can't help you there 'cause like I said I only know about Gundams, but most models have a grade, tier or number that would designate its' difficulty.

            • Just keep in mind that the most expensive part of modeling is the paint. Paint will set you back a pretty penny, and a shitty paint job will ruin the model.

What comes with each model and does the paint seen in the picture come with the model?
