Hello there, I have recently been interested in getting Halo 2 for PC, but I wanted to research it first before I make a dumb mistake. I have been playing Halo for most of its 10(almost 11) years now but mainly on the Xbox. I am looking at this version on Amazon::
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000NV8F58?qid=1344778771&sr=8-2&vs=1
But it has some very mixed reviews.. I have a 64 bit Windows7 desktop that I built myself::
i5 2500K
Nvidia EVGA GTX 560(non Ti)
8 GB Crucial RAM at 1600Mhz
(main needed specs)
So my question is mainly, is it still worth it to get Halo2 for PC?
I wouldn't be playing much multiplayer, but I want to link it with my Gamertag(gold mem) and have it play well and stay connected online.. I have seen some people lately saying that because of an update for GFWL, it doesn't easily accept the older games' validation codes anymore. Is this an actual problem and means that I shouldnt get H2 for PC(Im using Win 7) because it's hard to remedy this(or any other hiccups)??
Or do you think I should go ahead and get it? I do wish to play some Halo 2 again, online and campaign..
What do you think?
Posted by: Yayap7 dang it, I am using the OEM System Builder Pack for Win 7 Home Premium.. One person told me that people with the OEM version have more problems with H2.. What do you think?
Unfortunately I'm unsure. If you can find it cheap then you could give it a go. I've got Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and i've had no issues with the game but OEM I have no idea. Sorry.
