Are you in favor Same Sex Marriage? Why/Why not?

NOTE: I read the rules. This isn't political, as I'm not taking any side of a political party. If this gets out of hand, however, I will close the thread, and erase the OP. Calmly state your standpoint, why you have that standpoint, and respectfully listen/disagree with someone else's. The -blam!- filter should not be breached, and there should be no hurt feelings from this thread. I merely want to know the Flood's standpoint on the matter. I personally am strongly for it. I see absolutely nothing wrong with it, and I haven't so much as glanced at the chick-fil-a since it was discovered they gave money to anti--blam!--blam!- organizations. Love is love. And if Chick-fil-a can say their opinion, and discriminate against -blam!--blam!-s, I can say my opinion and not eat there. OP Lives in Dallas BTW [Edited on 08.11.2012 12:03 PM PDT]

 •
Posted by: Twisted Balls
Posted by: Marinade
Posted by: Twisted Balls It's more about what's being condoned by giving them rights. Frankly we're supposed to be attracted to the opposite sex considering we reproduce with them. Its a logical neurological connection. We dont want people thinking their lifestyle and orientation is okay.
That doesn't explain why they should have rights taken away. That just tells me you fear things you don't understand and wish to remove people's rights for things they can not control. Which also have no, actual, negative effect on their life or ability to interact with society. Their lifestyle and orientation is okay. You still haven't explained why it isn't. You've just said you don't like it. Who's we by the way? People have no control over what gender they like and it doesn't hinder them from living a normal life in society. So what you are saying is akin to saying that people with different coloured skin are abnormal and shouldn't get the same rights because that would encourage their lifestyle and skin tone.
I have already explained what's wrong with them. I am talking about the established norm in society from a purely neurological perspective. -blam!--blam!-s do not fit in this norm, so it doesn't make much sense to condone their actions by acknowledging a marriage between two of them.
You must also believe emos, bronies, furries, etc. should not be married either, correct? These are hetero people in this case. [Edited on 08.11.2012 11:26 PM PDT]
